Loes Takes Clips
Rating: 5.0 (3 reviews)
  • Classic style
  • Starts at $1,000
  • Serves Alameda, CA

I'm a photographer who loves, love and being able to share that through my lens is what drives everything I do. I have a deep adoration for storytelling and capturing the authentic, unscripted moments that matter most. I believe every love story is unique, and my goal is to bring excitement, ease, and a calming presence to your most important day. With a passion for preserving real emotions and meaningful memories, I aim to capture photographs that you'll cherish for a lifetime.

Logan has been a good friend of mine for years, so asking her to photograph our engagement shoot was a no-brainer for me. Her natural ability to bring any vision to life, mixed with her unwavering work ethic, is what sets her apart. I can tell her one idea I have, and she will effortlessly create something better than I could have ever imagined. We have a 1965 Corvette in our family that I thought would be cool to use as part of our shoot. I trusted her to tell us where and how we could incorporate it, and she brought our vision to life. She goes above and beyond, even standing in the middle of the road in Carmel-by-the-Sea as cars try to pass, to bring that vision to life. Also, we are far from naturals in front of the camera. I always rely on Logan to give us ideas for how to create movement and relax. Working with someone so kind and able to make you feel comfortable is crucial, because it not only creates an outcome you will love, but you will have fun doing so as well.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Jess. We used her for not only our engagement photos & wedding but our pregnancy announcement, maternity photos with both my babies, & newborn photos. I know Zola is a wedding website so I will keep it wedding related. She’s professional & fun. She makes you feel beautiful & comfortable but also makes you feel like she’s not even there. She captures every tiny detail and is true master at finding the perfect lighting. If her photos aren’t a testament to her work just trust me (a complete stranger to you) when I say “book her now!”

Sonya Yruel Photography
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
Alameda, CA

With a candid style and two decades of professional photography experience, my passion is capturing real moments and creating photos that tell your story. Living in the San Francisco Bay Area, I am proud to work in the diverse communities here, and welcome the diversity of my clients who are looking to both honor past family traditions as well as create some of their own. My approach to wedding photography is simple; the day of the wedding is about two people coming together to celebrate their marriage with their loved ones, and photos are about connection and trust. My goal is to have your photographs remind you of how you felt that day.

Sonya was truly a pleasure to work with and we are extremely glad we went with her over all the other photographers out there. We were first interested in her when we saw her online portfolio and liked her style. Afterwards, we met her in-person to ask questions and go over the whole process. Sonya was extremely pleasant to talk to with her warm and professional demeanor. She answered all our questions and went over the contract with us in great detail. After deciding to go with her, Sonya reached out to set an engagement shoot date. The engagement shoot went smoothly and Sonya never rushed us or seemed in a rush. Even when we went over the designated hours set for us, she stayed until we finished going throughout the entire place we went to. Of course the photos all turned out great and we even used a few inside the wedding as features. On the day of the wedding, Sonya showed up exactly on time with her assistant photographer. She is very professional, personable, and wonderful to work with! In between our ceremony and reception, we were able to do a 20-min photoshoot. Sonya knew immediately which shots to take and the photoshoot went very, very smoothly. She has amazing attention to detail and she knows exactly what she is doing. After we received the photos back from her, we loved her work and had so many amazing photos to choose from! Overall, we give our highest recommendation to Sonya! Additionally, she replies very quickly to inquiries and when we were planning the wedding. It was great to have quick communication. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Sonya!!!

I am an Oklahoma born, but Cali raised - dancer, roller skater, photography stylist, photographer, momma to two little girls, foodie, crafter, lover of laughter, action and pyscho-thriller movie watcher, and sports player. I also find peace in the outdoors and California trees. I like to keep it active and adventurous. I believe in giving 110% at everything I do, but also want it to be fun. I chose photography to be my vocation because I have a true obsession with humans and the way we love, interact, and celebrate rituals personal to our families and cultures. I stand up for equality and justice for BIPOC and LGBTTQQIAAP.

Joy Coakley was a dream to work with. She was professional, responsive and did an outstanding job. Her photography was stunning. I am pleased to recommend her and hope to see her at my venue often.

Radostina Boseva Photography
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
Alameda, CA
  • Editorial style

Radostina (rhymes with “patina”) was born and raised in the coastal town of Varna, Bulgaria. After finishing her Master’s in Arts, she moved to the Czech Republic, where she began her career in graphic design, styling, and art direction. It was there, in the middle of her Czech adventure, that the passion for film photography was born. Now, an award-winning fine art wedding photographer, Radostina resides in San Francisco, with her husband Martin and their English bulldog, Fuji.

We are so happy that we chose Radostina to capture our special moment. Everything was smooth and contributed to the overall experience - from the initial contact to photographing the event to delivering the stunning photos. Radostina's attention for detail is second to none and her taste is impeccable, she gave us great ideas before and during the event on how to capture every moment in a way that we can preserve our memories. The colors, the captured light and the emotions on the pictures are just mesmerizing, probably because it was captured on film. We'd love to have Radostina capture another special moment for us in the future.

My wedding was in May and the weather surprised us by dumping buckets of rain during the ceremony. Thomas was so helpful with all of his direction and suggestions for the ceremony. He was able to keep his cool and roll with the punches on our very crazy day. Our Photos are absolutely stunning! I honestly can't say enough good things about him. He took so many photos and his editing is wonderful. He also did our engagement photos all the way in Yosemite. He not only drove 3 hours one way for the engagement shoot but also drove an obscene amount of hours for our wedding. He put in so much work and I can't thank him enough.

I believe love is love and happily photograph couples of all backgrounds, orientations, religions and gender expressions. My personality is friendly and warm, which helps make my couples feel at ease and open up in front of the camera. Jenna was recommended to us by another photographer and it was such a pleasure to work with her! We greatly appreciated how much she wanted to know us and our personalities in advance of our wedding day. We ended every zoom call or email exchange feeling confident in our decision to work with her. The weather on our wedding day wasn’t very cooperative, but Jenna and team were on the lookout for any break in the rain so that we could go up to the roof and get a few pictures. And she totally nailed them—they are some of our favorite pictures from the day. Jenna and team made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera and also captured some incredible candids. If you’re looking for a fun, positive, and easy-to-work with photographer—Jenna is the right pick!

I’m Cherlyn (rhymes with Berlin). So nice to e-meet you! If we met in person and it wasn’t during a pandemic- I would probably hug you! I’m an introvert-extrovert and tend to ramble too much when I get nervous. In emails - I tend to use exclamation points a lot!! (and will agonize over my drafts of emails before sending them because they probably have one too many!!) My aim as your photographer is to provide a memorable experience where you two feel comfortable, taken care of, and get to fully enjoy your wedding day as much as possible with all your guests & loved ones - whether they be in real life or via livestream!

Awarded Best of Zola
Cherlyn was everything we could have hoped for in a wedding photographer. It was reassuring to have someone with Cherlyn’s experience and knowledge with us before our ceremony at SF city hall, it made us feel more prepared. She confidently navigated the space and guided us through our photos. I had some anxiety around being photographed, but right away Cherlyn made me feel comfortable. I genuinely felt like we were in good hands the entire time and I’m grateful she was part of our day. The sneak peek photos Cherlyn sent us so far are absolutely beautiful, I could shed a happy tear each time I look at them. She captured our day so perfectly. We are excitedly awaiting the development of our film photos and super 8 video. We cannot recommend Cherlyn enough to anyone looking for a talented and thoughtful photographer who makes you feel completely at ease.

I'm Hannah, a full time wedding and portrait photographer in Livermore, California. To me, photography is so much more than just hiring another vendor. And that's why you should choose someone you truly love to work with! Hi, I’m Hayden! With over 300 weddings captured, I take a journalistic approach to photography, documenting authentic moments as they naturally unfold. I shoot with both film and digital to create timeless, heartfelt images that tell your unique love story. With a go-with-the-flow mentality, I will capture moments as they come and turn them into beautiful memories.

Hayden was absolutely fantastic! Not only did he bring his own camera and film to contribute to the retro vibe of our wedding (photo attached), he worked perfectly with our friend and videographer to get some incredible shots of my wife and I. His demeanor and humor made it so much easier and more fun to take photos and really set us at ease. He posed us in such a natural way that didn’t feel awkward at all and the photos were absolutely stunning. To top it all off, he saw my groomsmen and I setting up chairs for the ceremony and he pitched in to help us carry them! I cannot recommend him enough, he’s the man.

My name is Connie and I have been shooting weddings and portraits for over 15years. The goal for me is to give my client an heirloom of their wedding day to pass down to generations to come. As a young kid, I remember staring at my parents black and white wedding photos for a long time. It captivated me. I am very lucky to have those memories and that is what I want for my clients. I love capturing beautiful imagery through posing, beautiful light and when there isn't light, I like to create it. I can be a goof ball capturing the unexpected filled laughter. Come look at my work, and hopefully we can connect.

Connie was so awesome to work with! Leading up to the wedding she was easy to communicate with and always responded to my emails quickly. When my wedding day rolled around she was at the venue on time and got to work. She was patient with everything going on, she had an assistant as well that was great! I told Connie that I was worried about taking pictures because I never considered myself photogenic, she told me not to worry. She did a great job! The pictures turned out beautiful! I love them! Now the hard part is choosing which ones to print.
