The Connection Band was originated and led by Darryl Grayson in 1982. The band was formally the original house band known as The French Connection at a local night spot in downtown Birmingham, Alabama. Since its beginning, Connection has a high energy stage show that really excites the audience from beginning to end. We have a large variety of Dance/Club Mix, Ballads, Classic R&B and 70s songs sure to satisfy all music lovers. We have opened for entertainers such as The Manhattans, Anita Baker, Phyllis Hyman , The Temptations, Little Richard, Betty Wright and Jennifer Holiday. Formed in a basement on December 27, 2011, the band was fueled by their mutual interest and love of music.
