Anastasia worked with us on every detail - right down to how the chef (shout out to him!) prepped our food Caribbean style. We also realized that relationships with other vendors were critical - which helped smooth out our process when coordinating across multiple vendors. If you’re looking for a scenic wedding venue on the water with amazing food, easy communication, and seamless coordination, The Lakehouse is it! Almost a month later and we have not stopped receiving compliments about our wedding day. We got married in early November, so there wasn’t much foliage on the trees, but that did not take away any of the beauty of this venue! We lucked out with weather and had a gorgeous outdoor ceremony in front of the lake. The transition from our ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception was flawless and incredibly well-organized. The venue itself is breathtaking with its large windows, offering stunning views and a layout that allowed for an easy and natural flow throughout the day. There are also SO MANY photo ops, so even if weather didn’t cooperate, we would have had gorgeous photos no matter what! The food was nothing short of amazing! All of our guests, even our most high-maintenance ones, were highly impressed from our passed hors d’oeuvres, to our piping hot dinner. They LOVED the cookies & milk station, as well as our late-night french fry bar! I had been dreaming about this day for as long as I can remember, and I am super type-a, so I have been planning every detail for awhile! It was important to me that certain details were executed the way I had envisioned them. We were assigned Victoria as our Event Producer about 8 months prior to our wedding. She gave us the best advice and suggestions throughout the planning process, which is appreciated when you have so many decisions to make! We had a large wedding of 180 guests, as well as an 8-piece band, so it was important to us to have a large dance floor. Victoria put together the perfect floor plan that allowed us to dance the night away! On the day of our wedding, she setup all of our décor the exact way we envisioned it, and then some! We were so happy to have her there, and she was equally excited to be there for us. We truly did not have to lift a finger once we got to the venue! Our Event Manager, Aubre, kept everything running smoothly behind-the-scenes on our wedding day to the point where we did not have to worry about a thing. Our Wedding Attendant, Emma, was always right there when we needed her! She carried my bouquet or drink, bustled my dress, and even made sure we had and ate our appetizers, dinner, and dessert! These 3 women were lifesavers, and we could not have gotten through the day without them! They were so kind, thoughtful, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to make sure us and our guests were happy and taken care of. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful, stress-free experience, and we are so grateful to The Lakehouse and Saphire Event Group team for making our wedding day so perfect and unforgettable!

The Tirrell Room is a hidden gem. I cannot speak highly enough of Jen, Amy, Tina, Dennis, Kenny, and the rest of the Tirrell Room staff. Jen and Amy helped through our entire planning process. Putting our minds at ease and making the stress of wedding planning practically 0. Dennis and Kenny, as well as the rest of the kitchen staff, accommodated to every food restriction our guest had. The food was raved about the entire night! The Tirrell Room staff was friendly, efficient, and accommodating. The parrot was an incredibly fun place and venue to have our event at, there is some peculiarity around thematics. The first floor was a Halloween party which made sense as it was Halloween, the second floor was entirely decorated in Christmas decor, my party loved the unusual clash of the whole thing

They respected our vision and brought it together effortlessly. Their venue was truly gorgeous, professional, organized, and stunning. Even though we chose winter, Olivia and as excellent in unlocking the dock area for photos and José even grabbed us spare flip flops when needed (without being asked) They handled any issues that came up and communicated with us the whole time. They also were willing to go above and beyond when we needed anything (such as a mishap with our florist) Jen and her team are truly the best! We couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else and look forward to being able to celebrate at the restaurant for the future.

Mindy, Jayme and their team were phenomenal to work with, from our first visit to the venue through the end of our big day. The packages make stressful wedding prep more bearable and their preferred vendors are all top notch. The food is incredible (not an easy thing to find at weddings); the hors d’oeuvres and meal options allow something for everyone. If in doubt, we still hear from people about how great the short rib was! The convenience factor cannot be overstated. Having our wedding at a beautiful, affordable venue helped us out massively with logistics and gave our guests a smooth, easy weekend experience. The front desk team was accommodating to needs and made our guests feel so welcomed, from our welcome dinner to our big day. If you’re doing your research, we’re sure you’ve read about Mindy & Jayme. We’re happy to confirm that they are as great as everyone says…better, in fact! They built trust and made our dreams come true. We couldn’t be more thankful for them. The Colonnade was our venue for our September 2025 wedding reception. The entire team was so attentive, responsive, adaptable, and friendly - from the planning process, to our check-in experience, to the servers and bartenders in the Huntington ballroom throughout the event. Our hotel block was easy to plan and all our guests really enjoyed their stays, commenting how everything was top-notch. I cannot give enough thanks to Geena, she was with us every step of the way and helped us navigate planning such a large and meaningful event. She ensured every detail was remembered, was so attentive throughout the year leading up to the big day, and was a true joy to work with - for us and our team of vendors. She helped us and all of our guests feel welcome the entire weekend. Wedding planning is a big task to take on but it was great to not have to worry about many details because I knew I could count on Geena! Chef Nick was wonderful to work with from presenting our tasting and sharing stories behind his delicious recipes, allowing us to use the Rooftop Pool for our first look photos, working with us to customize our menu and dessert table, and stopping by during our meal to make sure everything was how we wanted and more. The food and service was simply outstanding and the Huntington Ballroom was a beautiful and elegant space. I cannot recommend hosting your wedding at The Colonnade more - the level of care we received from the initial inquiry to the day we checked out was unmatched.

I had a baby shower for my daughter with about 24 women and it was wonderful. We took the downstairs front room. Beautiful flowers, balloons, photos but the food, drinks and service was why we chose Bistro du Midi. It was excellent. I have had many many great times there and would do it again in a minute. After a short period of tasting food, deciding on drink options, and bringing in details for the table scape it was perfect! They even took our wedding cake the day before for us so we can have it ready for the day of! (And we hope they enjoyed the leftovers because we bought a big enough cake for all of the staff to have some too!) Truthfully everyone at joes was incredibly kind and wonderful. We appreciated how they worked with our team to make sure it was a seamless event for us!

We knew we didn't want a big traditional (expensive) wedding, and scoured the city for spots that could bring our vision to life. There weren't many options, but Bostonia ended up being the perfect fit. They helped us bring our cocktail style wedding reception to life and were there every step of the way, going above and beyond in the setup so that we didn't need any event planner to help. Rob was awesome and responsive, and helped us select the perfect menu, never upselling or trying to get us to do more. I can't reccomend Bostonia Public House enough!

I was originally anti-hotel wedding. "How boring, how cookie cutter," I thought. Then I toured OPH on a whim once I realized I was priced out of my dream Boston venues - I was pleasantly surprised. Though renovations had not taken place yet, I could see what a historic, old-school Boston charm the place had. The pricing was also extremely reasonable by Boston standards (though I don't know how much they've changed since I booked in summer 2024) and included so much - dinner, open bar, cake, etc. I would be remiss if I didn't compliment Julie (who had since moved on) who really sealed the deal - her warm and friendly demeanor made it easy to imagine working with her. All of the other banquet and events staff I worked with (Latchman, Marshall, etc.) were equally lovely. OPH events staff really go above and beyond, they manage your event from start to finish, set up decor, and are super friendly and communicative. From what I understand, most venue coordinators are simply there to unlock the doors and make sure the food goes out, but the folks at OPH make it possible to have no or limited day-of coordination services from an outside vendor. The renovations have made this hotel and its event spaces even more beautiful, without over-modernizing. It still feels old-school, but just brighter and well-taken care of. The food was incredible (guests were raving), and while that wasn't a priority for me, it was a wonderful bonus. The city views from the ballroom are incredible. Only minor inconveniences to keep in mind: the hotel is OLD - so the freight elevator is small (some vendors had difficulty loading in/out), the wiring is finicky (the electricity in our suite went out a few times while getting ready, though it was restored quickly), and the fire codes are fairly strict (no taper candles, even with hurricane glasses). For me, these were hardly even issues, but it may be good to know. I can't say enough good things about OPH, I think it's a really underrated and lesser-known venue that people who want a downtown Boston wedding should consider!

We had our wedding at the Marriott Long Wharf October 7 2023 and everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Meg Garruto is a true gem and was a dream to work with! We were actually booked at another venue and after some issues we decided we needed to find another venue and actually booked Long Wharf site unseen. Our original venue not working our was the biggest blessing in disguise. The attention to details and the accessibility to answer any questions we had was above and beyond. There was absolutely no stress in wedding planning thanks to Meg and her team. We also were so impressed with the food! From the cocktail hour to late night snacks everything was perfect. Our guests have been raving about the service and the food for the past week! The location of the hotel and the views are worth booking for alone. If you are looking to book a Boston area hotel for your wedding I would seriously consider booking long wharf before it’s too late! We are already looking into visiting for our one year anniversary (and we are not locals!) because we love the hotel so much!

We recently held our wedding ceremony and reception at the Hampshire House in Beacon Hill. Sydney was the Catering Sales Manager who coordinated our event. When we were looking for a venue for our wedding it was important to us that the space felt like it had lots of character and enchantment. I wanted my guests to feel like they were being transported to another time and place and have a wonderful experience through the visual presentation. Upon touring the Hampshire House, we immediately fell in love with the sophistication of the old Bostonian mansion, the library with its wooden shelves and gorgeous fireplace, the warm and rich colors of the space with its ornate décor and intimate charm. The location is fantastic with the Boston Public Garden directly across the street which made for magical photos with the fall foliage. Hampshire House evoked the exact whimsical and romantic feeling that we were looking for. Sydney and her team worked diligently with us from the first steps of planning through scheduling, menu selection, rentals and coordination of vendor logistics with load in and out, etc. Sydney offered great insight and experience into the planning process and was there to make sure our big day was everything we could have dreamt of. I felt that the Hampshire House team thought of every detail to make us feel special and as for day of logistics, I was so pleased to find that they took care of essentially everything leaving no added stress to our day. They were very communicative and accommodating to our requests and even held on to some items for us that had been forgotten after the reception until we were able to come back to pick them up. The food was incredible, my guests are still raving about the decadent flavors and beautiful presentation of every item on the menu. The Hampshire House is a top notch venue with an incredible customer experience, do yourself a favor and book your wedding or special event with them!

City Winery is as an awesome venue for a wedding. We were able to do a walk through the day before and bring items for set up the day before, which made our day of much easier. The City Winery team was amazing at doing all the set up. They are pros! From reception tables to ceremony chairs. Their sound system is amazing for a DJ and contributed to the reason that our dance floor was packed for three hours straight. Having a 180 person wedding was great for this venue, as we were able to use the dining area, bar area for cocktail hour, and concert venue for the reception. From overseeing our ceremony music to allowing us to truly transforms the space, this venue is a great fit for someone with creative ideas! Additionally, the location was great for our guests and photos (as we got to take some on the roof and get an amazing view of Boston).

We cannot recommend Pagu highly enough for your wedding or event. From the very first email, they were unlike any of the venues we had reached out to. Overall, Pagu is flexible, which not only made wedding planning MUCH less stressful, but it made our wedding personal to us. Every time we had a question, they had an answer and a solution. You’re not messing around with rentals for plates, chairs, tables, linens or tons of decor. The space is beautiful and already functions so well as a restaurant, allowing you to just be their guest on your wedding day. The FOOD! Multiple guests came up to us and said it was the best wedding food they had ever had. Everything was hot, fresh, aesthetically plated and delicious. The family style sharing was relaxed, fun and nobody had to wait in line. The cake was so light and beautifully decorated. Day-of, what really stood out was the exceptional service and kindness we received from the entire team at Pagu. Everyone who works there was so positive, accommodating, and thoughtful. When I was “hiding” before the ceremony, the team delivered an entire tea/coffee service with some of the food to make sure I got something to eat! When we got back to our hotel, we found a portion of each dish in our fridge, just because they heard we hadn’t finished our second course or dessert while we were socializing. It was above and beyond thoughtful! Beyond taking extremely good care of us, all of our guests commented that it was one of the most relaxing weddings because the Pagu team thought of everything. At most weddings, there’s not a server checking in with you about your allergies, restrictions, and if you would like a drink. Since Pagu is a restaurant, you get outstanding restaurant-quality service. They even made a last minute, individual substitution for a new dietary restriction on the spot, and allowed that guest to enjoy the food, too! Another huge bonus was there was almost no bar line, since they’re used to making drinks for this many people! Other highlights of our experience include doing the cocktail creation session with Jimmy. We aren’t big drinkers, so we almost didn’t do this, but we are so glad we did - it was a blast, and the guests loved the personal cocktails. We highly recommend it! The space is gorgeous, the people are a dream, and the food was outstanding. Amanda (the venue coordinator/manager) was so easy to work with and on top of everything. Even our very traditional families (who were very skeptical when we said we were getting married at a restaurant) said afterwards it was one of the best weddings they’d been to. The Cambridge Boat Club was the perfect choice for our New England fall-themed wedding! It is an absolutely gorgeous location on the river with just the right amount of historic charm. We had originally considered going with all-inclusive venues, but ultimately opted for the flexibility we had with the CBC to craft our own vision. The venue features two distinct rooms, a larger room called the Drinkwater room, which can be used for the wedding dinner, the Club Room, which was used for cocktail hour and the dance floor, and a porch, which has a stunning view. The layout perfectly accommodated both the party enthusiasts and our more introverted guests, who preferred quieter spaces for rest and socialization away from the dance floor. Opting for this venue requires a more DIY approach compared to all-inclusive options. Since it is a historic building, there are some restrictions to be aware of, e.g. no sparklers or ceiling drapery, and existing wall decor generally need to stay on the wall. This was no issue for us since we had a clear vision for the wedding theme and decor, and enlisted the help of Tastings Catering (highly recommend, since they have previous experience working in this space and also handle some of the decor) and Designlight. Major shoutout to Katie Donnelly, the club manager at Cambridge Boat Club, who always responded in record time to all our inquiries and provided helpful guidance. With everyone's help, we were able to create the wedding of our dreams!
