I first got into video work as a teenager, shooting skating videos with my friends. I was lucky enough to have a part-time job, and I’d saved up enough money to buy a Canon GL2 – a much sought-after camcorder. I would film my friends and I skating. We ended up purchasing a computer in order to learn video editing, and put together a full skate video after years of stacking footage. I sold that first video to a skate shop in Bakersfield.

Many things inspire me, but the privilege and honor of being able to immortalize cherished moments is always the bottom line. I am a passionate storyteller, and each person – and each relationship – has a story to tell. Being able to tell that story creatively and uniquely through pictures and video is something that is truly beautiful.
