About this venue
Major changes are happening in downtown Marshall as the long-vacant building at 112 N. Eagle Street transforms. The new Venue 19 Zero 9, named after Schuler’s founding year in 1909, will occupy the historic Dreamers Furniture store, blending Schuler’s legacy with modern elegance for weddings, corporate events, and special occasions. The venue will feature a reception room for 250 guests, intimate seating areas, bridal quarters, large restrooms, and three boutique hotel rooms. Schuler’s Restaurant will provide exclusive catering for exceptional culinary experiences.

Best Decision We Made!!!
It’s honestly hard to put into words how much this venue, and the amazing team behind it, meant to us. My husband and I got married here just a couple of weeks ago, and it was the most perfect day we could have ever imagined. So much of that is thanks to this place and the people who made it all happen. From the very beginning, Jillissa was absolutely incredible. She was the kindest, most organized and responsive person - always quick to answer our (many) questions, and she sent us everything we could’ve possibly needed, from videos and photos to charts and layouts. She really took the time to get to know us and what we were envisioning, offering suggestions or possibilities/options along the way when we were left unsure. By the time our wedding day came around, it genuinely felt like we were working with a friend - someone who truly cared and had our backs every step of the way. When wedding planning became chaotic and stressful, Jillissa provided encouragement, support, an uplifting spirit at exactly the right times. Even in those inevitable last-minute moments where things came up, she jumped in without hesitation. She went above and beyond in ways we’ll genuinely never forget. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. The town of Marshall is sooo full of charm. It's walkable, historic, and full of kind, welcoming people. It felt like the perfect place to bring everyone we love together. And Schuler’s catering was unreal!! Our guests couldn’t stop talking about the food. The entire service staff was absolutely amazing - so warm, so professional, and completely on top of everything. Because of them, the whole day flowed effortlessly, and we got to just relax and be in the moment without a single worry or hiccup. I wish I could thank them more. What really blew us away, though, were the little touches. We had a private tasting with custom menus and a welcome sign at Schuler's, a sweet card waiting at our hotel (The Royal Hotel - perfectly located AT the venue), and even a handwritten note and gift from the venue (a gift that truly meant more to us than I can express online). Those are the kinds of things that don’t show up on a contract but come from people who truly care, and it showed in every single detail. Choosing this venue was easily one of the best decisions we made. We’ll always remember how beautiful it was (our first pull to the venue itself), but more than that, we’ll remember how it made us feel. So loved, so supported, and so genuinely celebrated. I’ll forever be grateful we got to start our marriage here. This venue will forever hold a special place in my heart and I hope the same for others.

Schuler's was simply outstanding from start to finish. Their communication style was exceptional - they were always open and responsive, ensuring we felt supported and prepared throughout the entire planning process. Elizabeth's attention to detail was amazing, and we received so many compliments on the incredible food and service all night long. Even weeks after our wedding, our guests are still raving about the incredible experience Schuler's provided. We could not have asked for a more perfect caterer to celebrate our special day. Highly, highly recommended!
Shulars is an Excellent Catering choice
We just recently had a wedding celebration in Battlecreek for my son and is wife on Oct 26, 2024 and I have to say that Shulars did an outstanding job in catering the event as well as managing the bar for the wedding. The entire experience from meeting with Elizabeth Birch and her team to plan the event and needs for catering the event to the actual day was nothing but world class. Shulars worked with us with a payment plan, as well as ever changing numbers count and all dietary needs. The food that was catered at the event was hot, well prepared and excellent in preparation. It was one of the major highlights of the day. The prime rib was to die for and all additional entrees and sides were well prepared and tasty. The appetizers that were served in the beginning were excellent. Shulars was well organized, pleasant to work with and very patient. I would recommend this place for any catering needs that you would have. Bravo to Shulars for making this wedding day a memory of a lifetime.

Elizabeth Birch worked with us to helped us achieve the perfect wedding of our dreams. From the beautifully landscaped ceremony, photo, and reception spaces, to the outstanding food and service, there was no detail overlooked. Elizabeth helped us coordinate the entire wedding long-distance. I was in Florida, and the bride was in Chicago. But with her guidance, we were able to coordinate the local vendors needed to pull off a dream wedding.
