About this venue

Record Box Loft is a wedding venue located on the riverfront in downtown Battle Creek. Our original hardwood floors, exposed brick and open floorplan flooded with natural light gives our space an urban, industrial vibe that’s perfect for a party. After an extensive restoration of this historic building, built in 1902, it was rebranded as Record Box Loft to pay homage to its historic roots. Once known as the Record Printing and Box Company, cereal boxes were printed here for many years in the cereal capital of the world. Record Box Loft accommodates small groups of 25 up to large gatherings of 225 guests. Many onsite amenities are provided including onsite preparation rooms, wooden farmhouse tables, industrial chairs, an onsite catering prep kitchen and bar. We are located in southwest Michigan, approximately halfway between Chicago and Detroit and conveniently close to our surrounding communities including Kalamazoo, Jackson, Lansing and Grand Rapids.

Record Box Loft AMAZING
We toured close to 12 venues before we found the perfect venue - Record Box Loft! The first time we met Hannah and team and Record Box, we knew it was the spot to host our wedding. The venue is intimate yet spacious and perfectly setup for the special day. It's also helpful to know the staff goes above and beyond the day of to make sure it truly is a special day. After a month of getting married there, it still feels like we're on cloud 9. Save yourself the trouble of touring a dozen places and put RBL to the top of your list!

Couldn't Have Asked for a Better Venue
I knew from the moment I toured the venue that this was THE venue for my wedding. It's the perfect combination of historic meets industrial meets bohemian/plant vibes. From the start, Hannah (coordinator) was fantastic at communicating with us and really helped our big day run as smoothly as could be. All of the guests continued to compliment our venue choice the entire night and mentioned they did not even know it was located there - a true hidden gem. 10000000 out of 10, definitely recommend :)

Excellent Venue & Staff!!
This venue was gorgeous, very budget friendly. The staff were incredible. They did a great job communicating with us, and working to make every vision I had become a reality. Hannah is an excellent coordinator & such a blessing to us on our wedding day and throughout the whole process!

Magical Wedding Venue!
Hannah and her team were absolutely incredible from start to finish. From the moment we booked our wedding, through the entire planning process, and all the way to the execution on our wedding day, they exceeded every expectation. Hannah was always there to answer questions, offer guidance, and provide reassurance whenever we needed it. Wedding planning can feel overwhelming at times, but she made the entire process feel seamless and stress-free. Her communication, organization, and attention to detail were outstanding, and it was clear every step of the way that she genuinely cared about making our day special. When our wedding day finally arrived, everything came together perfectly. Hannah and her team worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure every detail was handled, allowing us to truly enjoy every moment. The day felt effortless because of the incredible work they put in. I truly do not think our wedding day would have been as magical if we had chosen a different venue. Hannah helped bring our vision to life and created an experience that we, along with our family and friends, will never forget. From the moment we walked into record loft box and met Hannah I knew this was our wedding venue. The space is absolutely stunning from the large windows to the exposed brick I fell in love. Instantly Hannah was friendly outgoing, incredibly knowledgeable. She took the time to understand my vision and help guide me through every detail from start to finish on our wedding date Hannah and her staff handled the entire venue set up and everything was as I had imagined seeing my vision come to life was truly breathtaking. Every detail was beautifully executed, and the venue looked absolutely stunning. I can’t thank Hannah and her team enough for helping make our day so special.
