We were so excited to have our surprise elopement, then a wedding reception. When we booked everything a year before, it seemed perfect to our vision and we were beyond excited. The price was very reasonable for our small party. However fast forward closer to the date, the person we had booked with was a stand in while their leader was on vacation and there was issue with the table, decor, etc. 
     This new person was also a little…the best way to explain is that I felt since we were having a small gathering we weren’t seen as important. The person claimed ‘well it isn’t really your wedding’ despite it being very clear it was our wedding reception and we were planning to be wearing full wedding dress etc. once I made it clear to her, her attitude improved slightly. 
     To note we did have to pay 200 FOR OUR TASTING. Which was incredibly steep, but it was told to us. They gave us literally two options to have the tasting, one was our elopement day, which we made very clear we couldn’t cancel for a tasting. So the second day they gave us, they claimed they couldn’t let us sample the appetizers, because of the ‘schedule.’ So we paid 200 to sample, salad, pasta, and protein. No appetizers, because they was only an option for the week before??? That was beyond frustrating... 
     The day of, the team and food was great. They didn’t decorate the rocks with candles, get the speaker, or easel, as per the contract but once I asked it was quickly resolved. Food was great and team was good though.. it was a nice day of. But the before event was a little of a bummer. I wish they treated our day (despite the small party) with more importance, especially since we booked so early
