Terrapin Hill Farm is the perfect venue for couples who want a relaxed and enjoyable wedding in a beautiful, rustic, and natural setting. The Chapel is breathtaking, the Farmhouse provides dressing rooms and overnight accommodations, and the Pavilion is the perfect place to celebrate with dining, dancing and a nearby bonfire. The farm is easy to get to and centrally located between Lexington and Louisville. With over 18 years of experience, owners Pete and Brenda Cashel provide personalized service to ensure that your planning process is effortless and your wedding day runs smoothly. They offer everything you need for any event, from a small celebration to a destination wedding with hundreds of your family and friends.

The Pavilion - Reception

Simple yet Elegant

The 40'x60' pavilion can hold up to 150 people for a sit-down dinner, plus room for dancing. The twinkly lights and chandelier provide the ambiance, and you can add any decorations you'd like. Your band or DJ can set up on a stage that can be adjusted for the size you need. Accessible restrooms and plenty of space for parking are close by. Kids of all ages enjoy the nearby playground and there's a bonfire pit just below the pavilion for after-dark fun. (Serves as ceremony site in case or rain)

Description

Have both your ceremony and reception at the farm, with the option to on extra time such as day before, day after, or overnights. You can also choose the services you want (e.g. officiant, day-of- coordinator, etc.) Available any day of the week; 20% discount given for Monday - Thursday weddings.

Description

A Micro-Wedding is something in between an elopement and the traditional wedding. If you are looking for something more intimate, simple, and affordable, this may be the package for you. Available Sunday - Thursday. Up to 30 guests included, up to 20 more may be added on for $30/guest.

We recently had our wedding here - we did a multi-day event and everything turned out perfect!! The venue was gorgeous and Pete & Brenda were lovely to work with. I especially loved the bonfire.

Pete and Brenda are wonderful people to work with, and they have created such a unique venue with Terrapin Hill Farm. They both were a pleasure to work with, and offered great suggestions of local vendors that frequented their venue in the past. The site itself had wonderful accommodations for changing rooms, bar area, and the reception area. Without question, we are very happy to have gotten the opportunity to have our wedding at Terrapin.

We had our wedding earlier this month and we loved the venue! We wanted a quiet place in the country surrounded by nature and if you want something similar, TPH is perfect! The owners were super nice, communicative, and we couldn't have worked with a better place for our wedding.

Choose any vendors you wish, including photographers, caterers, dj's, musicians, florist, etc., although we can offer suggestions if you need them.

Ceremony site, reception site, tables, chairs, linens, lights, some decorations, parking, bonfire, signs, dressing rooms, restrooms, fridge and freezer

You deal directly with the farm owners, and all our reviews mention how we're helpful and easy to work with; Eco-friendly: farm electricity is solar-generated, we offer re-usable decorations and washable dinnerware, we can suggest florists and caterers that use locally raised products, and we provide recycling containers. Overnight options: stay in our 100 year old farmhouse, rustic cottages, tents or RVs. Bonfire is included.

We own the farm, this is our home and our business and we want everything to be just right, so each couple gets our personalized service. We are here when you need us - to answer any questions or make last minute adjustments - we don't rest until the last guest leaves.

Yes! There are 5 cottages that sleep 2-3 people. They are clean and spacious, have electricity, and are located close to the restrooms and showers. We have ten RV sites with hookups for electric and water, and two sites with just electric. The farmhouse has 3 bedrooms and can sleep up to 10 people.

Yes. No alcohol sales are allowed in Mercer County. Alcohol must be served by a certified or licensed bartender, which we can provide if needed.

There is a large grassy field which provides plenty of space for parking, if the field is extremely wet there is a large gravel lot which can be used for parking.

Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible however gravel roads and hills may make it difficult. We suggest visiting our venue in person to see if it's appropriate for you.

Yes insurance is required; you may purchase your own or through a company we use.

The deposit is nonrefundable. Balance is refundable if cancellation is 60 days or more prior to the wedding date.

It depends on the package that you book, but we are very flexible and allow you to add on extra time if needed. We will not charge you if you go slightly past the rental time, except in the rare case where we need to prepare for a wedding the next day after yours.

April through November, though we may give discounts for the slower months of July and August.

We are an outdoor venue so we don't do large weddings from mid November to mid April. However, we would allow an elopement or micro-wedding during those months and use the farmhouse for the reception.
