Where Tampa’s History Meets Your Story. In the heart of downtown Tampa, the Tampa Firefighters Museum offers a one-of-a-kind wedding experience inside the city’s original 1911 firehouse. Restored to reveal its historic architecture, warm wood floors, and industrial romance, the 1911 Ballroom blends heritage and modern elegance with panoramic city views. This historic Tampa wedding venue invites couples to celebrate where history, love, and community come together beautifully. Designed for Seamless Celebrations: -2,500 sq. ft. ballroom — up to 150 guests with dance floor or 180 seated -1,200 sq. ft. pre-function lounge for cocktail hour or registration -Private conference suite for getting ready or VIP use -Breakout Café ideal for buffets, coffee, or lounge space -In-house bar, curated vendor partnerships, and day-of coordination -Convenient downtown location near Riverwalk hotels and parking --Rental proceeds support fire education and historic preservation.

Our Museum is housed inside a fully restored 1911 firehouse, the original quarters for Tampa Fire Station No. 1. This 2-story building can accommodate up to 150 guests upstairs and 120 in the lower level exhibit area. The original exposed brick walls and restored wood floors enhance the perfect venue for all kinds of special events including weddings, rehearsal dinners, anniversaries, graduations, and non-profit fundraisers. Our Musuem’s exhibition hall can accommodate up to 150 people for a standing cocktail-style event. Measuring approximately 5,000 square feet and still has the original concrete floors. The second-floor special event gallery can accommodate up to 150 people seated with a dance floor, 180 seated without a dance floor, and up to 150 for a standing cocktail-style event. Measuring approximately 2,500 square feet, our special event gallery has been beautifully restored with original wood flooring in a rich walnut tone.

MPI Tampa Bay Chapter President
We held our MPI Tampa Bay Area Chapter board retreat at the Tampa Firefighters Museum, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The museum provided a unique and inspiring setting, rich in history and perfectly suited for both productive meetings and meaningful team connection. The meeting space was well-equipped, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged to support our agenda. Jen was incredibly accommodating, ensuring that all our needs were met throughout the day. In addition, the catering was excellent—delicious, timely, and seamlessly coordinated. We truly appreciated the warm hospitality and professionalism of the staff.
