Absolutely perfect!
The Wedding Retreat Llc was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding day. From the very beginning, their communication was responsive, accommodating, and professional. The quality of their work and the value they provided was gorgeous, high-value, custom, and dreamy. They made a custom cake based on ideas I shared with them, and our day-of coordinator was on top of everything we wanted to happen during our day. Our day was absolutely perfect, and we received many compliments from our guests about the venue. I wouldn't change a single thing about it - I loved my day-of coordinator and the entire experience with The Wedding Retreat Llc.
Perfect place for a perfect day
The Wedding Retreat LLC was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding day. From the moment we first reached out, they responded back immediately and were so helpful in guiding us through the planning process. I felt like I didn't need to make the decisions I didn't know or didn't want to make - they would help me through it all! On the day of, everything felt like a fairytale. The quality of their work and attention to detail was truly worth every penny. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and team to bring our special day to life.
Affordable All Inclusive
I got married on 10.12.2024, 3 days after Hurricane Milton hit. Milton caused a lot of problems. Half our guest list cancelled, our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner got cancelled (for safety), the entire Plant City area was without power, the list goes on of things that went wrong. The Wedding Retreat did the best that they could given the circumstances to make our wedding as “normal” as possible! I give 4 stars for the following reasons: 1 - They were without power due to the storm, and only had enough generators to power the Bar, DJ, Kitchen, and 1 string of lights. One of the main selling points for us was the beautiful lighting they have. None of the outdoors lights leading to the bathroom and bridal/groom suite could be powered, so as soon as you left the reception space you were in pitch black darkness. This was a major inconvenience for our guests as well as a potential safety issue. We had a LED sign of our last name that they weren’t able to power. They also weren’t able to power the Groom or Bride suite, meaning no lighting or A/C. My husband and his groomsman just had to suffer through the heat, and my self and my bridal party had to pivot last minute and go all the way to downtown Tampa to our makeup artists salon to get serviced there. We felt they should have been better prepared and had more generators, given we are in Florida semi-near the coast. 2 - Because we weren’t able to have a rehearsal, there were some issues with the ceremony. Our officiant was supposed to announce it was an unplugged ceremony before I walked down the aisle, but the DJ didn’t give him a chance / never turned off the music / turned on his microphone until I was at the altar. This meant that as I walked down the aisle there were a good number of cell phones pointed at me and that was exactly what I didn’t want to happen. 3 - The food was okay, everything was a bit under-seasoned. We didn’t get to do a food tasting (only a cake tasting), and looking back, I wish they offered that as an option. 4 - They need to replace their cornhole boards. The ones we had at our wedding were splitting, the paint was chipped off and they were rotting. Just looked bad and cheap. 5 - Given everything that happened, we weren’t offered any sort of discount or money back. We paid the extra 1,000 to have over 100 guests (originally planning on 120) and we ended up barely breaking 60 people. I understand the hurricane was out of everyone’s control and it’s probably in our contract that they don’t offer refunds for natural disasters, but it was disappointing to have spent so much money to have had so many issues. We truly appreciate their willingness to push through and still host our wedding given the circumstances. Our photos came back SUPER fast and we love them. All of our guests really enjoyed the cake, dessert table, late night snack of s’mores and popcorn, and the open bar. The DJ was great, played great songs and didn’t have any issues with pronunciation or following our timeline. It was a pleasure working with them over the 1.5 years we planned this wedding, and I would recommend them, just maybe book outside of Hurricane season!

The Wedding Retreat LLC was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding. They were quick to respond to all of our questions and concerns throughout the planning process, making our day easy. The venue itself was beautiful and large, with everything we needed included in the rental. We were thrilled with the quality of their work and the value they provided. Our guests raved about the stunning space and amenities. We highly recommend The Wedding Retreat LLC for any couple looking to host their special day.
