About this venue

Sugar Grove Estate sits on a 45-acre estate, alongside its spring-fed flowering lilly pond, wild orange ceremony grove, beautiful Bridal suite, rustic Groom's cabin, private shooting range, reception courtyard, private runway with helipad, and an abundance of beautiful moss-covered oak trees! Along the south side of the venue, you will see a field of sugarcane, hence the name “Sugar Grove”

The Ceremony Grove

Breathtaking and beautiful!

The Ceremony Grove is a dreamlike wedding setting. The wooden altar is surrounded by giant Oak trees with Spanish moss, and wild oranges are growing in the woodland behind. The large entrance gates are closed after guests are seated, in anticipation of the Bride’s grand entrance and walk down the aisle. This lush outdoor space also features a modern restroom facility so your guests have no excuse to peek inside the main venue until the reception!

Reception Courtyard

A magical setting!

The Sugar Barn's east side opens to a 3200 sq. ft. outdoor entertainment area. Adorned with twinkly market lights and framed by wooden planters containing fresh herbs used in our kitchen. A stone fireplace provides a rustic photo backdrop and the view of the lilypond and sugarcane fields completes this country setting. This majestic courtyard serves as an idyllic spot for a cocktail hour between the ceremony and wedding dinner. It is also the perfect place for a sparkler exit!

The Bridal Suite

A beautiful boudoir!

The stunning 1200 sq ft upstairs Bridal Suite is filled with natural light and provides a beautiful space for the Bride and Bridesmaids to prepare hair & makeup, take photos, and make wonderful memories. Key features include a private restroom with shower, full-length mirrors, an 8 ft makeup counter, and a gorgeous blue antique settee. There is also an elevator to the suite making it accessible for everyone.

The Groom's Cabin

A rustic hangout!

Located down the path from the ceremony grove is the Groom’s Cabin, an air-conditioned bachelor's cottage offering a secluded spot for groomsmen to gather, dress, have lunch, and relax before the wedding. Equipped with a refrigerator, foosball table, poker table, rocking chairs on the porch, and restrooms with a shower next door. There is also a private shooting range on the property that can be hired for the wedding morning.

After you have toured the Sugar Grove Estate and selected your preferred date and package, we put together a personal event proposal and booking contract for you to sign. We then require your deposit within 5 days, which is typically 10% of your package price. We split your package price across 10 payments, with the final installment due 30 days prior to your Wedding.
To keep our standards high, the Sugar Grove always supplies the Catering, Bar Service and Wedding Coordinator for all our events, and to ensure a flawless experience we highly recommend that you choose from our preferred vendors who are included in our packages. However, we do offer a partly inclusive option where you can use your own Photographer, DJ and Florist, if you already have your favorite professionals in mind. Outside vendors just need to have full insurance to work at the Sugar Barn (and ideally, fantastic reviews from previous events!).
You may schedule your rehearsal date a day or two before the wedding at the Sugar Grove, between 9:00 AM and 11:30 AM, or on the morning of the wedding for everyone except the Bride!
We provide a top rated Wedding Coordinator to pay attention to all of the details, so you don’t have to! Your Coordinator will assist you with your pre-planning and then on the day of your Wedding, they will make sure you are looked after from set up in the morning until the last guest has exited.
Yes, insurance is required and can be purchased through our 3rd party insurance company we can refer you to.
No, the fee is included in the venue rental. We do require a security deposit which is returned to you after the event has been cleared of all personal belongings and no damage has been reported.
We offer access to exclusive private cottages just 1 mile away from the Sugar Barn, one of these cottages sleeps up to 12 people! We also have partnerships with a selection of hotels and resorts in the area that you may block rooms with at discounted rates.
Yes, we have partnerships with several companies that offer various options of transportation, such as 57-seater buses and ‘Uber style’ private drivers. Transporting guests from out of the area to the Sugar Barn, and then back to hotels at the end of the night is easily arranged. Even a helicopter departure from our front lawn is an option!
We happily accept Zelle, Cash, Credit Cards or Check for payments. If you choose to pay by Credit Card, a 3% fee applies.
Yes, you are welcome to have your furry friend as part of your wedding day! They are permitted in the outside ceremony area but we do ask that they are kept under supervision and must leave after the ceremony. No pets are allowed inside the venue buildings.
