Discover the serenity and refinement of Old Virginia at Shawnee Farms Estate. This elegant farmhouse, located in the Shenandoah Valley has sweeping views of the Shenandoah National Park and George Washington National Forest mountains. The historic estate was completed in 1863 and was recently renovated into a classic wedding venue and lodging getaway. It accommodates up to 16 guests & has amenities to entertain the whole family. The estate sits on 150 acres of rolling farmland and is located near the fabled Shenandoah River. Shawnee Farms Estate is just minutes away to downtown Luray and Luray Caverns. There is plenty to explore on and off the property when you stay at Shawnee Farms Estate.

Downstairs in the barn has a 1,000 square foot indoor space & 2 outdoor patios. The larger patio is perfect for dinner & dancing and approximately 2,300 square feet. Our smaller patio usually holds our catering or bar & is about 1,200 square feet.

Located on 150 acres of rolling farmland with sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This historic estate was completed in 1863 and offers a variety of locations with quaint gardens surrounded by farm fields. The reception space, an early 1900’s historic barn with modern amenities, is located adjacent to the Farmhouse. Our wedding packages aim to make our guest’s special day memorable and enchanting. Each Package requires a non-refundable 50% deposit at booking and a $250 cleaning fee.

Caverns Cathedral Room Ceremony features the natural beauty of the Luray Caverns with limited decorations and seating for guests. Ceremonies are held after regular business hours and never during holiday periods. This package also includes 2 nights lodging at Shawnee Farms Estate with Reception at Shawnee Farms Barn.     Best venue team ever!

    I got married here last weekend, and I’m still emotionally recovering in the best way. The team at Luray Caverns (Stephanie Beahm, Naomi Alger, and Katherine Dallas) somehow managed to keep everything running smoothly while I was one minor inconvenience away from spiraling into full goblin mode. From the start, they made us feel genuinely special (not the fake “you’re special” everyone gets but like, actually special). They helped us move our things in early, communicated every step of the way, and answered my numerous questions without ever making me feel like I was testing their will to live. Which, frankly, is impressive. When our car keys mysteriously vanished (because of course they did), the team literally drove us to the reception without hesitation. They got a wheelchair for an elderly grandparent of the groom, handled logistics like pros, and never once made us feel like a burden. Even though I would have absolutely understood if they had gently escorted me into the woods at some point like old yeller to put me out of my misery. When I expressed disappointment of the rain and the change to our rain plan, they reassured me and also complimented me on the day and asked what they could do to help even though, trust me, they had helped enough! They also helped decorate, set up, and even supported my day-of coordinator to make her job easier. Basically, they were everywhere, doing everything, all at once: like a calm, hyper-competent wedding Avengers team. What really stood out was how much they cared about the tiny details. They remembered things I forgot I even mentioned and executed everything flawlessly. Naomi, in particular, went above and beyond. She was literally getting married the weekend after us and still treated our wedding like it was the only one that mattered. I don’t even have that level of commitment to my own life. Stephanie had a similar accent to mine and was hilarious and definitely kept me laughing when I wanted to cry. Katherine was level headed and reassuring and kept me calm. They all worked so beautifully together for us. I haven’t stopped bragging about them. Guests are still telling us how incredible everything was, and a huge part of that is thanks to this team. They made us feel treasured, unique, and completely taken care of and that is something that is shockingly rare in this business. If you’re even thinking about getting married here, just do it. Seriously. Save yourself the stress, the second-guessing, and the potential descent into madness. This team is the best of the best, and they gave us more than we ever expected from a venue or honestly even what we thought was possible.

    Incredible Venue for the Best Day of my Life

    Shawnee Farms Estate was an amazing venue for our special day. The communication with the staff was great - they were attentive to my needs and made me feel like I could truly relax and enjoy the day. The versatile space with lots of options, like the beautiful barn and Farmhouse, was perfect for our wedding style. The staff handled all the details so seamlessly, allowing me to focus on marrying the love of my life and celebrating with our favorite people. The views from the estate are absolutely spectacular and made for the perfect backdrop to our perfect day.

    Amazing venue

    From the moment we booked our wedding at Shawnee Farms Estate, the team was incredibly responsive and communicative via text, email, and phone calls. Their attention to detail and coordination of our event was unmatched, ensuring that every aspect of our special day went off without a hitch. The venue itself was spacious and beautifully maintained, and we felt the overall value was well worth the fairly priced cost. The Shawnee Farms team was present from start to finish, friendly and attentive to our every need. We are so grateful to them for making our wedding day absolutely perfect.

Yes, all alcohol must be provided by the client or a vendor. We require an ABC License from VA ABC for any clients bringing alcohol.
Yes, we have a parking area marked off by cones day of for your guests.
Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have ramps at the main and side entrances. There are handicap friendly stalls in our restrooms.
Your reservation includes six hours from start to finish for the event itself. We do not include or charge you for the time it takes our staff to set up and clean up in your event time.
Booking fees for our facilities, and all payments made including deposits, are non-refundable. If you cancel your event within 2 weeks of your booked date, we’ll bill you the full amount of all estimated charges.
