Outside, a quaint courtyard with bistro lights adds an extra layer of atmosphere. Men’s and women’s restrooms are on-site.

    Highly Recommend!

    We couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our rehearsal dinner and welcome party. Poogan’s Courtyard was incredibly easy to work with, so accommodating, and truly made the entire experience stress-free from start to finish. Hosting back-to-back events in the same space was seamless, and the team executed everything flawlessly. The food was amazing, the space itself is absolutely beautiful, and the overall atmosphere was perfect for kicking off our wedding weekend. It was such a special way to see and celebrate with everyone before the big day, and this venue could not be more ideal for it. We are so grateful to the Poogan’s Courtyard team for helping make our weekend unforgettable—highly, highly recommend!

    Poogan's Courtyard was the perfect venue for our wedding. From our first inquiry, the team was fantastic - very thorough in their communication and incredibly flexible in helping us bring our vision to life. The space itself is so cute and intimate, with an old rustic feel that has been modernized beautifully. They were incredibly accommodating of our guests' food allergies, and the bar menu they provided was excellent, with non-alcoholic beer and mocktails that all our guests raved about. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we are so grateful to the Poogan's team for making our special day absolutely perfect.

    Magical!

    Poogan's Courtyard was the perfect venue for our small, minimalist wedding of 20 guests. The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful throughout the entire process - their communication was easy, quick, and non-judgmental. On the day of, the staff was constantly checking in to make sure my husband and I, as well as our guests, had everything we needed. The food was absolutely amazing, and the rustic, cozy feel of the space was exactly what we were looking for without needing much additional decor. The value for what we got was perfect, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend Poogan's Courtyard for any couple looking for a clean, intimate wedding venue.

    Poogan's Courtyard was a wonderful venue for our wedding. Their communication style was consistent, prompt, and polite throughout the planning process, which helped ease a lot of stress. The venue itself provided a cozy and elegant backdrop for our special day. While the decor was simple, it was exactly what we envisioned. The food was absolutely delicious and raved about by our guests. Poogan's Courtyard had every detail covered so I didn't have to worry at all. Between the delicious fare, beautiful venue, and fantastic service, the cost was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Poogan's Courtyard for any couple looking for a venue that has everything you need to celebrate in style!

We take care of it all – the provisioning and the pouring. No self-service here. But don't worry, you're in good hands with our talented bartenders! We kindly ask that no outside alcohol joins the party.
The closest paid parking lot is just a few doors down at 26 Cumberland. Prefer a garage? No problem – head over to 82 Cumberland for convenient parking. There's always metered street parking available too. Plus, here's a little insider tip: Sundays are your lucky day because street parking is free, courtesy of the City of Charlest
Yes, our facilities are accessible.
Your rental includes 4 or 8 hours of event time plus one hour for setup and breakdown, along with 80 X-back chairs, 10 sixty-inch round tables, and 7 cocktail tables. We provide napkins and floor-length tablecloths, silverware, china, and glassware. The space also features an on-site catering kitchen, an on-site bar, private restrooms, and access to our outdoor courtyard with bistro lighting. Additional amenities include WiFi, an in-house sound system with wireless mic capabilities, an HDTV with HDMI connection, a dedicated event lead and service team, access to our event diagramming software, and a custom event portal.
• A non-refundable $1,000 deposit and signed contract is required to secure the date • 60 days after signing: 50% of remaining balance is due • 60 days prior to event: 50% of remaining balance is due • 10 days prior to event: Final balance is due ​ Custom payment plans can be provided.

We’ve been mastering the art of Southern cuisine since 1976, so you could say we're experts in the field. We're the exclusive providers of food and drinks – no outside catering is needed! Our menus are customizable, and we're here to collaborate with you every step of the way.
Count us in! Should you choose to bring in your own cake, we can take care of cutting it for you. There's a small fee of $3 per guest for this service.
You're welcome to bring in decorations! Please avoid decorations that need nails, staples, or permanent adhesion. Candles with real flames need to be contained – we suggest hurricane glass or votives. As much as we love a bit of sparkle, confetti and glitter aren't allowed, but don’t worry, we'll still make sure your event shines.
