Surrounded by a stunning 18-hole golf course, the lodge blends old-world charm with modern amenities—perfect for a timeless wedding. At Maxwelton Braes Lodge, the entire property can be exclusively yours—creating a truly personal and memorable destination wedding experience. With a variety of indoor and outdoor ceremony locations, your wedding can be truly customized to fit your unique vision. Guests can enjoy onsite amenities including golf, tennis, pickleball, and a cozy outdoor fire pit. Chic, timeless, and cozy - the ideal Door County wedding venue
This newly renovated space beautifully blends vintage charm with modern elegance. It features tall ceilings with exposed wooden beams, beautiful chandeliers, and a grand stone fireplace with timeless accents. Expansive windows offer sweeping views of the property grounds and golf course. This space also includes a white granite full-length bar, a dance floor, private restrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen for catering.

The extensive patio overlooks the golf course, expansive grounds, and the beautiful lodge. The patio area is surrounded by a wrought iron and Door County stone fence. Located outside and adjacent to our lodge porch which features a beautiful stone gas fire pit.

Beautiful Wisconsin Wedding Venue
Maxwelton Braes Lodge is a gorgeous family-owned venue located in Door County, Wisconsin. From the moment we first reached out, the staff at Maxwelton Braes were quick, organized, flexible, creative, and accommodating. They provided us with the utmost care and hospitality to make our wedding dreams a reality. The venue itself is truly beautiful and unique, with a private and intimate setting that was competitively priced and offered great value. The team helped us with details like setting up our tent and provided wonderful vendor options. I could not be more satisfied with our experience at Maxwelton Braes Lodge - from the staff to the venue, they are in a league of their own. I would highly recommend this venue to any couple looking to get married.

What set Maxwelton Braes Lodge apart was the freedom to bring our exact vision to life — without the restrictions we encountered at other venues. The owners are so flexible. The space is stunning, historic, and welcoming, with beautiful indoor and outdoor areas that let us design the atmosphere we wanted. The entire lodge is yours for the weekend, and our whole wedding party was able to stay onsite. The team went above and beyond to make our day everything we dreamed of. This is truly a GEM.
