    Nowhere better than Northern Haus

    Door County holds such a special place in my husband and I’s hearts and from the day we got engaged we knew we wanted to get married at the Northern Haus. From the first initial tour to our wedding day we fell more and more in love with the venue and the people. Sara and Megan went above and beyond to make sure that our day was absolutely perfect for us and helped us through every step of the wedding planning process. Hiring them as our day of coordinators was one of the best decisions we made, helping take so much stress of my husband and I’s plates, from set up the day of to constantly checking in on both of us to make sure we didn’t need anything throughout the busy day. Our family and friends were simply in awe of the ceremony location and reception space, every aspect of the venue is stunning and we will never regret choosing to get married at the Northern Haus. Northern Haus provides the most perfect backdrop for the most beautiful photos. Nick was incredible behind the bar and all of our guests raved about him and the fast bar service. The professionalism, level of expertise and attention to detail at the Northern Haus is unmatched. Every aspect of our day was simply perfect and we can’t thank Sara, Megan and Nick enough for all their hard work that went into our special day. We can’t wait to come back to visit year after year

    Amazing venue, outstanding coordination!

    I feel like I have been waiting two years to write this review with how much I love Northern Haus and how excited we were to have our wedding there. Ever since the day we first toured back in 2022, to the day of our wedding, last Saturday August 24th, 2024, Sara, Nick, and Megan were absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. From our initial meeting and touring of the venue, to the countless calls and emails during the planning process, to the day of coordination, we were always given outstanding service, professionalism, friendliness, and quick responses. The venue itself is absolutely stunning! You can easily pair your wedding vision with the white barn, vaulted ceilings, and luxurious accommodations. It truly shines when you pull up the front walk, continue through the foyer, to the reception hall, to the gorgeous bar, to the covered porch, all the way up to the ceremony space - so beautiful. Every single detail was thought of and nothing went unnoticed when Sara and Nick built the venue. We had seen the venue being built years ago and could only hope that our wedding could some day be hosted here, and once we pulled up for that first tour, we looked at each other and knew it was the one! Sara was our day of coordinator and I cannot emphasize enough how incredible she made our day. As the bride who planned literally the entire day and every detail, I did not have one single worry with having Sara and her team in charge. If anything went wrong at all, I had no idea and that is exactly how it should be. The day was smooth, seamless, beautiful, and so well executed, I was thoroughly impressed the whole time. When you host your wedding with Northern Haus, the team provides a recommended list of vendors to work with, which was very helpful. Professionalism was very important to us when picking vendors, so to know that Sara had a preferred list of vendors with proven track records really made our vendor selection process easy. If you love Door County, or if you've never been and you want to fall in love with Door County, Northern Haus is the best venue and Sara and Megan are the best team to work with, hands down. I'm so sad our day is over, but I could not imagine it happening anywhere else but at Northern Haus. We can't wait to come back and visit again in the future.

    I absolutely love northern haus. My day was so smooth and calm. Even when it was going to rain, Megan checked in with me about our options and did exactly what I wanted to do! Everyone at my wedding was so impressed with the venue!

    The best place to have a Wisconsin wedding!

    Our wedding was 9/30/23 at Northern Haus and it was absolutely perfect, thanks to Sara and our day of coordinator, Megan. These ladies know how to plan a wedding!! I highly recommend the day of coordination service when planning a wedding here. They were accommodating, flexible, kind, and always one step ahead of me! We booked this venue sight unseen and we had 0 regrets. Our wedding was perfect and anyone considering Northern Haus should look no further!

    Northern Haus is the best!!!

    I could never accurately put into words how special this place is, but here goes nothing: I grew up going to Door County each summer and always had a pipe dream of getting married here. When I got engaged in March 2022, I booked Northern Haus almost immediately without ever having seen it in person. There was something about its natural beauty that just made me know that it was where my husband and I were meant to get married. I didn't actually see the venue in-person until the day before my wedding at my rehearsal, but you would have no idea because of the amazingly helpful owners, Sara and Nick, and staff, Megan, who helped you feel like a part of the Northern Haus family from the moment you first make contact with them. I worked with Sara and Megan extensively throughout the 16 or so months of my wedding planning, and they were the most knowledgeable, thoughtful, and patient people to work with. They helped me to understand the space, encouraged my ideas, and supported me through the millions of questions I had along the way. I also need to note how incredibly helpful Northern Haus’ preferred list of vendors is – I could not have planned our wedding from California without this list. We used so many of their preferred vendors and all of them exceeded our expectations! On the day of the wedding, I would not have been able to be stress-free if it weren’t for Sara being my Day Of Coordinator. She felt like another friend to me that day – someone who was looking out for me and my happiness every step of the way. She also has an amazing ability to troubleshoot, but not involve you in anything that might cause you unnecessary stress. She made the day feel so incredibly smooth every step of the way. Some other highlights of the day included bar carts with beer and wine for our guests as they arrived for the ceremony, Sara’s truly unreal ability to read a weather forecast and figure out the perfect time for us to squeeze in our outdoor ceremony before it started to rain, the rainbow that came out after said rain (I know Northern Haus didn’t necessarily make the rainbow happen but also maybe they did? they’re that amazing), nonstop dancing during the reception, and so much more. To put it simply, our wedding day was the best day of my life. I know people say this all the time, but I really feel that Northern Haus helped to ensure that it was the best day of my life. Sara, Nick, and Megan are all such amazing professionals who truly care about the happiness and success of their clients. If you are in search of truly a dream venue with the very best people, you can’t beat Northern Haus!

A. Dates are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tentative holds are allowed for a 48 hour period in order to review the contract. To secure a date, Northern Haus must receive a completed and signed contract with a deposit of 50% towards the final fee (which includes the rental fee and beverage minimum). Deposits and payments are non-refundable.
A. No. The entire 30 acre property and Venue are exclusive for your event.
A. Northern Haus can accommodate weddings with up to 300 guests. For seated indoor events our capacity is 225.
A. The rental fee reserves the Venue and grounds for 11.5 hours. Evening events begin at 12pm and ends at 11:30pm. Music will end by 11pm and guests must depart by 11:30pm, but for an additional fee, you may continue until 12:30am. You may also extend your rental in the morning if more time is needed to enjoy our Prep Quarters or Luxury Suite.
A. The rental fee includes the use of the Venue, surrounding 30 acres of land, fully wooded ceremony and cocktail hour retreat, outside covered patio, round 60” tables that seat 8-10, wooden cross back chairs, access to Luxury Suite and Prep Quarters, coat check, bar glassware, and parking lot for 110 cars.
A. We have multiple outdoor ceremony options including a 10 acre wooded forest retreat perfect for private ceremonies. Indoor weddings will require at least a partial space flip after the ceremony. The outdoor covered porch and Northern Wing can be used for cocktail hour after the ceremony in order to accommodate the flip. Our lofted space can be utilized for ceremonies under 100 guests.
A. Yes, Northern Haus simplifies your planning by providing all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for your event. Last call will occur 30 minutes prior to the event’s close, with the bar closing fifteen minutes after last call. Per Wisconsin state law, outside alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the Northern Haus property.
A. Vendors may arrive at Northern Haus as early as 10am on event days. Décor and items brought in must be removed 30 minutes after your event closes. You can choose to remove the items yourself, or ask our staff to pack your décor so you can focus on continuing your celebration. Deliveries are accepted the day of the event after 10am.
A. 50% of the total rental agreement (including beverage minimum and rental fee) is due upon reserving the Venue. The remaining balance and any extras (service fees, tax, beverages, golf cart rental, décor clean up, etc.) are due 30 days before the event date. A credit card is required to hold on file for the duration of your event.
A. The Northern Haus parking lot can accommodate up to 110 cars.
A. The first floor of Northern Haus is ADA accessible. Our priority is to accommodate everyone, and we are happy to work with you to ensure all guests are comfortable.
