Our beautiful gardens and rooms are available for weddings, receptions, cocktail hours, engagement/prenuptial dinners, rehearsal dinners, and bridal showers, ranging from the intimate to the elaborate. Choose the perfect space or combination of spaces for your utterly unforgettable event. Abraham Catering is our exclusive caterer and offers inspired menu selections for your food and beverage needs. Don't need a venue? Lush, romantic backdrops for engagement and wedding photography may be found throughout the garden. Sessions can be done during regular business hours, or private sessions may be booked after hours for $125.

This spacious room adjoins the floral display hall and provides a warm and gracious setting for a wide variety of events. With Colorado red sandstone and wood flooring, this space has been designed for many flexible uses. You may decide to use the entire room or divide the room into a smaller space depending on your event.

    Director of Catering & Events at Abraham Catering

    The staff at Lauritzen Gardens are fantastic - they have a wonderfully responsive, direct, and honest communication style that makes planning your wedding a breeze. The quality of their work is truly unparalleled, with the venue offering a unique, beautiful, lush, and classic setting that is unlike any other in the Midwest. I have planned many weddings at Lauritzen Gardens, and there is simply no other venue that can match their level of service and the sheer beauty of their grounds.     Exceptional choice for our wedding venue. The visitor service and event staff were excellent to work with - their communication was transparent throughout the months leading up to our big day. We knew exactly what was provided and what services we needed to contract outside vendors for. The rental and event staff ensured everything went smoothly and all the details were accounted for. No matter the season, Lauritzen Gardens is a beautiful venue, the scenery and location created the perfect backdrop for our picture-perfect, core memory-making event. I would give Lauritzen Gardens a ten out of ten recommendation for any couple looking for a stunning wedding venue.

    Great venue for gathering

    Wonderful Venue for our Wedding

    Lauritzen Gardens was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the start, their communication was honest, clear, and responsive, putting us at ease throughout the planning process. The space was beautiful for our wedding and made the day even more special. Everything went smoothly on the day of, with the staff coordinating seamlessly and helping us deal with the unexpected weather. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how unique the space was compared to other weddings they had been to - it made our special day one we'll never forget.

    A Super Site for Bridal Showers

    Lauritzen Gardens was the perfect venue for our daughter's bridal shower. The room we used was intimate and cozy, with a long table that was perfect for our small group. Our guests loved being able to explore the botanical garden after the event ended. In addition to plants, the facility has lovely art and architectural details and the food and beverage from the caterer was an excellent value. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting to celebrate this special occasion with our friends and family.


Preferred vendors of Lauritzen Gardens

Caterer
Abraham Catering

Most couples book events between 9 ant 18 months in advance. Lauritzen Garden is a popular wedding ceremony and reception venue and prime dates go quickly. We typically fill Saturdays from May through September a year in advance. Please contact the associate director of guest experiences at rentals@omahabotanicalgardens.org to check availability. Ceremony-only events may be booked within 6 months of the date. If the ceremony is more than 6 months out, we require that a reception be booked as well (blackout dates may apply to ceremony-only events).
To ensure a private event, weddings and receptions at Lauritzen Gardens are held in the evenings only and may start as early as 6 p.m. Other events, such as showers or luncheons, may be held during the daytime.
Optimally, our great hall accommodates up to 250-275 seated for dinner with a nice dance floor space. Our 60" round tables (included with the rental fee) seat eight to nine guests per table. Larger parties may extend into the cafe and floral display hall areas.
We are pleased to have Abraham Catering as the exclusive caterer for all events at Lauritzen Gardens. Abraham Catering provides all of the food and beverage service, including alcohol service. Their charges are billed separately from the rental fee. No outside food or beverages are permitted, with the exception of your wedding cake. If using Abraham Catering is not an option for you, another licensed caterer may be used by paying a $1,500 buyout fee to the garden. Caterers are subject to approval by Lauritzen Gardens.
The full rental fee is required at the time of booking to secure your date on our calendar.
Desired decorations may not be tacked, pinned, nailed, taped, or otherwise adhered to any surface of the rooms inside of the visitor and education center. All room decor, other than table decorations, must be freestanding. Candles are only allowed if hooded, dripless, or in glass containers. No environmentally harmful, unsightly, or potentially dangerous materials may be used, such as rice, glitter, confetti, birdseed, flower petals (real or artificial), silly string, or fireworks, including sparklers. Lauritzen Gardens' floral displays are not to be moved, removed, changed, or destroyed. No signage is allowed to be placed in the ground.
No tents are allowed to be erected, by a third party, but Lauritzen Gardens has a tent available to rent for the festival garden patio (for events starting in 2025). You may have an arch, arbor, or huppah in the garden space for your ceremony as long as they are freestanding. We do not allow any staking of items in the garden.
While our associate director of guest experiences may have suggestions of vendors that have worked on prior events, you may use the vendors of your choice for your floral, DJ, band, photography, videography, wedding cake, wedding planning, or transportation needs.
One of the ways our venue is unique is that during the summer months (mid-May to mid-September), our floral display hall can accommodate 200 guests for an indoor wedding. Wedding ceremonies may be moved inside to the floral display hall or the great hall because of heat or inclement weather.
We have parking for 350 cars in our main parking lot. Our lower level parking lot holds an additional 200 cars.
