Juliane James Place is a wedding venue and vacation rental carved into the middle of the woods in the middle of Minnesota. Weddings are really fun at Juliane James Place. And that makes us really happy. We are an inclusive, welcoming space with a history of diverse ceremonies. Most folks have dogs or love them dearly. We've even had a cat, named Scuttle, on hand for a wedding. It's a space guests can't really imagine until they arrive, that they don't want to leave at the end of the night.

We are an inclusive, welcoming space with a history of diverse ceremonies. Most folks have dogs or love them dearly. We've even had a cat, named Scuttle, on hand for a wedding. It's a space guest can't really imagine until they arrive, that they don't want to leave at the end of the night. Juliane James Place was made to be a unique, gathering space for weddings in the middle of the woods. The ceremony area is carved out of the woods, adjacent to the pond, with a stage and seating for guests. Next to the ceremony area is a 40‘x 60’ frame tent with a dance floor, string lights, harvest tables, and vintage folding chairs for receptions. A cleared space for cocktails with tables and a bar bumps up to our pond.

    Romantic to Whimsical

    Juliane James Place is an intimate paradise tucked away in the middle of the woods and ready for any couple to transform into their dream wedding space. The opportunities for photos are endless for amazing shots that will set your wedding apart. The staff at JJP are caring and will help guide you to make sure that your dream is actualized and done well - no Pinterest board fails to worry about here. They are professional and very welcoming towards everyone anticipating the needs of couples and their guests. We cannot rave enough about JJP and the people that make it possible!

    I cannot say enough good things about Juliane James Place. Literally every person we interacted with was extremely understanding and flexible. It rained on our wedding day, and the staff at Juliane James Place were in the rain putting down mulch and ensuring everyone had a good time! We also had to deal with living in a different state for a year while planning the wedding; everyone was extremely patient with us as we were juggling so much. This place is worth every penny and then some!

    We toured one venue for our wedding and this was it, immediately we fell in love with the property and how magical it was. We worked with Alex and she was a dream!!! Super kind and relaxed and we appreciated her flexibility and quick responses when we had questions. We would choose JJP over and over again and highly recommend both the property and the venue team!

    I LOVED our annual girls weekend at Juliane James Place! It had everything we needed from an Airbnb AND MORE. The space is beautiful and welcoming. We especially loved the fully stocked kitchen. It was perfect for our group and our dog. The lights on the property were so cute, and we really enjoyed having a fire and using the lovely smelling fire starters made it so easy! We were warm and cozy all weekend long and will for sure be back sometime! I also loved watching the beavers swim in the pond, and hearing owls in the morning as well. We also saw a few dear and heard turkey's in the morning. Star gazing was also a highlight with very little light pollution.

January, February, March, April, May, November, and December. However, we do not offer wedding rentals during this time. In the off season we only offer vacation rentals.
Yes!
Yes! There's enough parking for the wedding party and family. However, the majority of your guests are shuttled in. Part of the initial rental fee covers the deposit of the shuttle that we do on your behave.
Being a woodland property we cannot claim that the area is fully accessible. However, couples can inquire about accessibility on a case to case basis and we're happy to accommodate in any ways we can.
You get the whole weekend! 2pm Friday - 2pm Sunday!
While we are fully insured as an operating event property we ask that you as the host have general liability insurance for your event as well.
