Cooley Gardens and Scott Sunken Gardens offer beautiful and intimate outdoor wedding locations, ideal for couples seeking a scenic and memorable setting to exchange vows. Weddings may be reserved up to one year in advance, giving couples ample time to plan their ceremony. The wedding reservation season at both Cooley Gardens and Scott Sunken Gardens begins the 1st Saturday in May and ends the 2nd Sunday in October. Historic botanical charm in a hidden urban oasis.

The gardens offer a variety of scenic vignettes for your celebration. The formal wedding site features a lush lawn framed by manicured hedges and a diverse array of annuals and perennials, including exotic hibiscus and banana trees. For a truly unique atmosphere, the Scott Sunken Garden provides an Italian-style walled sanctuary complete with a central lawn and historic architectural details. A charming wooden pavilion provides a sheltered area for light refreshments or shade, while park benches and picnic tables are scattered throughout the grounds to invite guests to linger amidst the scent of peonies and irises.

    This was a great choice for my daughters wedding. It was a small, short ceremony so it was perfect. If you’re planning a long, drawn out ceremony pick another location…no chairs are allowed. That aside - this venue was the perfect spot for our needs. And the weather cooperated so that was even better.
