Located in Santa Cruz, California, Atlas Design Studio is a wedding planning and coordination business that serves the San Francisco Bay, Carmel Valley, and Monterey areas. Founder, Katie Ray, incorporates her past studies at the New York Fashion Institute and extensive experience planning special events into each new project she oversees. The Atlas team aims for clients to enjoy their wedding and the days leading up to it with as little worry as possible, providing assistance and guidance each step of the way.

Atlas is primarily a team of two Katie Ray our founder and lead planner, as well as lead planner Chelsea Howells. Katie and Chelsea actually met working for another venue before Katie branched out to her own company and brought Chelsea along a year later. Besides Katie being Chelsea's sole mentor in the wedding industry they are also very close friends, so all our couples can rest assured that their weddings and designs done by either will both be within the Atlas Design esthetic.

    Chels from Atlas Design is absolutely amazing. We found her after researching and meeting with many other wedding planners and knew right away she was a perfect fit! We were looking for partial planning services and the most important things for us in a planner were 1) personality fit and 2) a get ‘er done attitude. Chels has both of these and so much more! We couldn’t believe how much she did for us over 1.5 years of planning our wedding - from vendor sourcing to coordination, logistics, timelines, design boards, being a sounding board, day of execution to perfection - The list goes on and on and on. She is delightful. Please look no further if you are looking for someone who will make you feel at ease and like you’ve gained a trusted friend in the end. We loved working with her!
