About April May's Wedding Planning

April Stephens

Planner/Owner

As a New York Institute of Art and Design graduate, I bring formal design training and meticulous planning to your wedding. My goal is to make your dreams come true and deliver a seamless, beautiful celebration. True success is the smile on your face when you see your vision come to life. I handle every detail with care so you can focus entirely on enjoying your special day. Let us create an unforgettable reality together.

What sets me apart isn't just my design degree—it’s my life experience. As a 4 mother of five, I've mastered the complexities of logistics, tight schedules, and diverse personalities under pressure. When wedding days pivot or family dynamics surface, my crisis-management skills kick in behind the scenes. I built this business because I genuinely care. Success is that moment you look around your reception, breathe easy, and smile with pure happiness. Work with me, and you gain an advocate who protects your peace like family. Let’s make your dream wedding a reality!

In three words: Calm, Empathetic, Supportive

Description

Full-service wedding planning requires you to handle all the heavy lifting from concept to cleanup. You will manage the budget, source and coordinate vendors, and design the event's overall aesthetic and layout. On the wedding day, you will oversee logistics, execute the timeline, and stay on-site for 10–14+ hours to ensure smooth setup and breakdown.

An elopement or microwedding package is an all-inclusive, highly curated planning service for up to 50 guests, focusing on unique venue sourcing, premium vendor selection, and beautiful design details, and combining them with flawless on-site coordination for an intimate wedding day.

Partial wedding planning is a mid-tier, collaborative package where you step in three to six months before the wedding to assist couples who have already booked their venue and major vendors. You take over contract reviews, coordinate with remaining vendors, and refine the design layout and master timeline. Finally, you manage the final walkthrough, run the rehearsal, and provide full on-site coordination on the wedding day.

Day-of coordination is a month-of service where you take over pre-planned logistics four weeks out, finalize the timeline, organize the rehearsal, and provide complete on-site management on the wedding day to ensure everything runs smoothly.

A wedding is a massive logistical production. Hiring a professional protects your time, keeps you on budget, prevents costly vendor mistakes, and completely eliminates your stress on the wedding day so you can enjoy your celebration.
While our baseline packages (Full-Service, Partial, Day-Of, and Microwedding) are designed to cover standard needs, we can absolutely add tailored solutions—such as extra meetings, permit handling, or assistance with welcome parties—to any contract.
Full-service means we handle the logistics from concept to cleanup. We design your overall aesthetic, build your budget framework, source and vet every single vendor, review all contracts, build your master timeline, and provide absolute on-site management on the wedding day.
With Full-Service, we source your venue and build your vendor team from scratch. In Partial Planning, you book the venue and major vendors first, and then we step in to handle logistical management, design refinements, and remaining vendor outreach.
No. True "Day-of Coordination" is actually Month-of Management. To run your day flawlessly, we step in 4 weeks prior to review your finalized contracts, build your master minute-by-minute timeline, run your ceremony rehearsal, and provide complete on-site management on the wedding day.
Yes. To maintain the intimate, intentional nature of these celebrations, our elopement tiers cap at 10 guests, and our microwedding packages accommodate a firm limit of 50 guests.
