My name is Allison James and I got married July 22nd, 2022! It was the absolute best day of my life and it made me realize how much I enjoy planning and coordinating weddings! I am a 5th grade teacher in Connecticut during the week! I am the type of person who is always moving and enjoys doing things and being out of the house! When I am at home, I enjoy snuggling and playing with my cat Harry who is the best boy! If you ask my friends, they will tell you that I am a hopeless romantic! I just LOVE love! I want to help you have the best day of your life at your wedding- and no request is too wild! Just ask me, I had my cat in my wedding!

What sets me apart is that I am willing to work with any budget, big or small! I can help you have the wedding of your dreams, no matter what those dreams are. I love hearing a bride or groom's vision and then creating it for them. No request is too big, small, or strange!

    I’m not sure where to even begin with this. I’m in the hospitality industry and have trouble letting go. I talked to 4 planners before Allison and after talking to her I felt I knew her for years. A major thing for us was this was a gay wedding and she was super supportive of our community! She respected the fact that I’m also a control freak and let me do a few things I wanted to. She met me to look at the venue, communicated with all my vendors, I popped in once on day of set up cause I forgot something and she said to me. Please call me if you forget anything, I’m here for you, you have enough to handle. All of my vendors had extremely positive feedback. She also made sure we ate ourselves, I think we through a few changes in the itinerary and she just rolled with it. I had guests comment she looked great (belongs at a wedding, she was polite and my father pulled me aside and said it was a smart decision and told me she was killing it as he watched her run around and handle things all night). Cant say enough about her and her services

    My decision to hire Allison at the last minute as my DOC was the best wedding decision I made! Allison made everything run so seamlessly at both my wedding and rehearsal. Having her there to set everything up and not having to do it myself was worth the price and then some! Allison was so easy to work with, professional, and personable. I highly recommend Allison to anyone planning their wedding!

    My husband and I went back and forth many times about hiring a DOC because I am a big planner and we also had a venue coordinator, but wow. Hiring Allison was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Allison made our day go by without a hitch and was fantastic to work with at such a fair price. She helped ease my mind and was an advocate for our needs. She is intentional, professional, and somehow a mind-reader when it came to handling requests even before we communicated them!
