Hello, my name is Samantha and I am the person behind the camera with SJDalton Photography. I am a based out of Maine but also am local to Mass, NYC, and Pennsylvania area. I specialize in portrait, wedding, and engagement photography! However, I am more then just a photographer! I am here to make you laugh through the awkward moments, relax when nerves kick in, and celebrate the real emotions that make your story yours.

With me you will never feel stiff or staged, just yourself in beautiful light with timeless photos to look back on! During my shoots I like to create a space for my clients to slow down, be in the moment, and feel authentically themselves. There is something so amazing about watching someone agree to spend the rest of their life with the person they love!

    Sam is so nice

    Sam is great to work with she always remains positive and is good at adapting to get the perfect photos. She was able to find the perfect secluded spot even when the beach was completely full with people. At the end of the day the photos are the most important thing and they look AMAZING!

For smaller weddings/ceremonies a few months ahead is ideal. For bigger weddings 6 months or more is ideal
Sometimes, I’ll bring a lighting assistant or an associate photographer depending on the size of your wedding. Don’t worry, this won’t cost you extra.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.
I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible. However I can always look for an associate photographer this would add to the total cost of your booking however.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 2-4 weeks after your wedding. Within this time, you can also expect to receive a Dropbox link to your email with high-resolution image files, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints.
You can expect about 60 to 80 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
