Meaghan and Evan are true artists!
From our first meeting with Meaghan and Evan, we clicked right away on a friend level, and knew they were the right photographers to capture the day in a way that felt authentic, joyful, and totally us—expansive relationship lore and inside jokes included! My partner and I have been together for a long time before getting married, and didn’t want an over-produced ceremony or ritual that we didn’t really identify with to define our relationship, or to put so much pressure on a single day and forget to enjoy it. Working with Meaghan made the process of planning our day so seamless. She helped us plan a timeline and gave us a sense of how long different parts of the day would take, but there was still room for spontaneity. I was even late for the ceremony and stressing until I got out of my car and Meaghan was a calm, reassuring presence, directing me where to go for the first-look, but also giving me the option to choose another spot if I wanted. All day, we never felt rushed or like we couldn’t take a beat to recenter anytime we needed it. The photos couldn’t have represented the mood of the day, and our personalities, any better. All the little details we talked about ahead of time, or that just came up organically during the day (like a cute frog in the pond at the ceremony venue!) were part of the gallery, and incorporated so organically in the background of the photos showing our friends and families having fun together. For our “reception” after-party, our main goal was to show our out-of-town friends and family a good time in our neighborhood in Providence at Kimi’s, and it’s clear from the photos that we succeeded! It was so fun to relive the day through the photos and see scenes from the night that we missed or almost forgot about. Not to mention, the whole day was just beautifully shot, both in film and digital photos. We aren’t the type of people to have lots of pictures of us hanging on the wall, but these feel worthy of being printed and framed! Meaghan and Evan are true artists. We picked a ceremony venue (the pollinator garden at the Audubon Center in Bristol) that we love for its scenery, and each photo captures the understated natural beauty of the garden, boardwalk path, and meadow with thoughtful composition and timing, from the handful of posed group shots to the more in-the-moment candid ones. Between the ceremony and the party, we snuck away to take a walk along the boardwalk–where we often go to see the ospreys and other wildlife–which produced some of my favorite photos (totally relaxed and gorgeous), and it was one of the most memorable parts of the day because we could pause and take it all in–and spend time with Meaghan and Evan! We were also so glad we sprung for the Instax guest book package! Our guests filled the book with instant photos and doodles–it was so fun to look through it the next morning, and now we have the camera to keep, so we can keep taking silly pics at home and bring it on vacation! Meaghan picked out the cutest stickers to go with it, too.

Calling them “photographers” isn’t enough!
I was recommended Rhode Tripper Photography by my makeup artist, Sydney, because she knew I wanted a local photographer who shot on film and digital with an organic, natural style. I wanted real, intimate, beautifully captured moments that showcased Providence perfectly. I am so happy I took her advice! From the start, it was incredibly easy to work with them. During our initial call, Meaghan really got to know us to ensure they could capture exactly what we were looking for. Their pricing is more than fair for the expertise they bring, and they were even willing to work within our budget for some adjustments, which was incredible. We are so glad we did the engagement shoot. Like Meaghan and Evan recommended, it gave us time to get comfortable being photographed. While I talk a lot through my shyness, my (now) husband Sean is more traditionally quiet, neither of us are 'typical' models and we’d both prefer to be behind the camera. Spending time with them got us used to organic movements and posing. Those photos were so incredible that we displayed them at our wedding and have them framed in our home. I never felt more beautiful... until our wedding day! Leading up to the wedding, we had a final check-in to review the timeline. They made sure they were aware of family dynamics and made us feel 100% ready. If I was concerned about anything, I just thought, 'Meaghan and Evan will take care of it.' This was especially true when the weather looked bad. As an anxious person, I started to freak out, but Meaghan calmed me down, talked through contingency plans, and assured us everything would be beautiful. She was right! On the day, they were right on time for detail shots and getting-ready photos. After our first look and portraits at the Airbnb, Meaghan and Evan headed to City Hall to capture our ceremony, then walked with us in the rain to Gracie’s for our reception. They took care of everything. I even forgot they were there at points! They bring life to the party and blend in with guests, creating natural photos. They even joined our after-party at the Dusty Planet for mini-golf photos before heading home. In less than 24 hours, we had our sneak peeks, and they made me cry! I’ve never seen myself look happier than I do in those photos looking at Sean. Sean also mentioned he forgot they were there at times, which says a lot for someone who isn't comfortable in front of a camera. We could not recommend them more! Not only do we have go-to photographers now, but we’ve gained two new friends. They are amazing people who capture perfect moments. Please, please book them! Getting our Polaroids at the end of the night was one of the most special moments for us once we got home. I know Meaghan even does custom photo albums, and we might explore that down the line to create something special for us. She truly does it all, she even helped my mom button my dress on the wedding day. We love them so much!

The Photography of our Dreams!!
How do we even begin to explain how much we love Rhode Tripper Photography? If you’re reading this while considering booking them for your wedding - FULL STOP, JUST DO IT. Meaghan and Evan are two of the most lovely people we have met. Once we had our wedding date, they were the first vendor that we booked for our big day. From the very first meeting, we felt completely at ease talking to them about our vision, our budget, and what we wanted the day to feel like. They are super well connected in the wedding industry, and had lots of recommendations for other vendors when we felt overwhelmed. Initially we opted to skip an engagement shoot, but ended up reaching out to book one so that we’d have a little practice posing. It felt right for us as it gave us a chance to meet Meaghan and Evan and see how we felt behind the camera. They made us feel comfortable right from the start, and while we initially booked it just for practice, we were stunned by how beautiful the photographs came out. We knew immediately we’d made the right choice in booking Rhode Tripper Photography and ended up extending our wedding day coverage. We just couldn’t get enough of their gorgeous style and eye for detail. Leading up to the wedding, Meaghan and Evan were available for all of our questions and planning details. Meaghan ended up assembling a wedding timeline that even our event planners were blown away by. You can tell she knows what she’s doing (spoiler - the timeline was perfect down to the minute). On the day of the wedding, we felt completely relaxed and honestly just giddy to be around Meaghan and Evan. They brought such a fun and light energy to our day and blended in seamlessly with our friends and family. When we needed a leader in the chaos, they were there to make announcements and call people to step up for photos and stay on track. When we were on the dance floor, they blended in like they were lifelong friends dancing with all of us. When pollen from my flowers stained my dress, Meaghan had a Shout wipe ready - and did you know that Shout wipes work way better on a wedding dress than a Tide pen? MEAGHAN KNEW. We could truly go on forever about how much we love Rhode Tripper Photography, but we’ll let their gorgeous photos speak for themselves. We were delighted to get a stack of beautiful Polaroids at the end of the night, a stunning sneak peek the next day, and we can’t wait to see the way they captured the rest of the day. We’ll be gushing about them forever to everyone we know!!

Rhode Tripper Photography was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Meagan and Evan were awesome to work with- super supportive, fun, and really helped keep us calm. Meagan knows the wedding world inside and out and gave us such good advice along the way. She even taught me how to bustle my dress when I was fumbling with it, and they brought AMAZING energy to the dance floor / party that I am sure contributed to all the great shots they got. In full transparency, their price point was a little above what we had budgeted for photography, but in this case "you get what you pay for" came true. If you are on the fence about spending the money, it is so worth it- we'd make the same choice again in a second. They are worth every penny; the photos are gorgeous and capture everything from the big moments to the little ones we didn't even realize were happening. We couldn't be happier.

Forever grateful for Meaghan and Evan!!!
TLDR: Working with Meaghan and Evan was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. They made us feel completely at ease and gave us the most stunning photos of us and our favorite people. We’re forever grateful!!!! If you want more details: We feel so lucky to have had Meaghan and Evan as our wedding photographers. As two women getting married, we were especially excited (and a little nervous) to find someone who would make us feel comfortable, seen, and celebrated. From our first inquiry through our engagement session, the prep meetings, and the wedding day itself, Meaghan and Evan made the entire process easy, thoughtful, and genuinely fun. Neither of us had ever taken professional photos before and we came into it nervous a bit unsure of how we'd feel in front of the camera. But working with Meaghan and Evan put us completely at ease. They made us laugh, gave just the right amount of guidance, and let us be ourselves. And in the middle of all of that, they captured absolutely stunning photos. The engagement AND wedding galleries brought us so much joy, not only because the images were beautiful, but because they *felt* like us. On the wedding day, everything was seamless. Meaghan and Evan kept the flow moving without it ever feeling rushed or overly posed. They captured all the big moments perfectly, but what surprised us most was how many of our favorite images came from the small, in-between moments. They captured the glances, the reactions, and the way we and our people move through a day together. So many of our friends and family showed up in the photos with amazing main character energy, and it’s incredible to see our loved ones celebrated in that way too. One of the things we appreciated most was how intentional Meaghan and Evan were about capturing the people who mean the most to us and the way we interact with them. It’s rare to get that kind of care and attention, and we’re so grateful for it. Our guests even commented afterward on how awesome and kind our photographers were. Meaghan and Evan became part of the joy of the day - not just people documenting it. If you’re on the fence about who to hire, especially if you’re looking for someone who’s affirming, thoughtful, easy to be around, and *really* talented - go with Meaghan. We’re so glad we did.
