    Professional, friendly, and excellent!!

Paul's photography portfolio speaks for itself, and we echo all the other 5 star reviews - they are well deserved! The best thing about Paul is the truly thoughtful experience we had with him from start to finish. Paul was the first vendor we booked for our wedding. We met him at the San Diego Bridal Bazaar and immediately felt like a good fit. Choosing Paul as our photographer was the best decision we made while wedding planning. He truly makes you feel celebrated and special throughout the entire process. He is such a successful and busy photographer but somehow able to make you feel like a priority at any moment. I don't want to spoil any surprises for other upcoming brides and grooms, but he gave us some really fun and unexpected moments both prior to our wedding day and on the day. Paul is also just a genuinely nice person, easy to work with, and everyone at our wedding loved him. He is super professional, responsive, and helpful. His second shooter for our wedding, Rey, was also great to work with and very talented. We truly can't say enough good things about our experience and will absolutely be raving to all of our friends. We hope to work together again in the future for anniversaries, parties, or family photos!!

Thanks so much for the sweet words, you two! Your wedding at Martin Johnson House in La Jolla was such a special day, and I'm so glad to have been part of it! I've loved being on this journey with you, and I, too, hope to work with you again soon for those future celebrations you mentioned! Looking forward to it!

Best wedding photographer we could ask for

We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding photographer than Paul! From our first meeting to the final gallery, the entire experience felt bespoke and truly tailored to us. He made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera—like we were just hanging out with a fun, incredibly talented friend. His energy was infectious, and he brought such a calming, joyful presence to the day. Every meaningful moment was captured beautifully. The photos are absolutely stunning and feel like us, not just posed shots. Looking through them brings the entire day rushing back in the best way. If you want someone who’s not only amazing behind the camera but also a joy to have by your side on such a special day, Paul is your guy.

    Bride

PMC Photography was absolutely incredible to work with for our wedding. From the very first interaction, Paul was timely, kind, and incredibly informative, putting us at ease throughout the entire process. On the day of, Paul arrived early and stayed late, ensuring he captured every special moment. He made us feel so cared for and comfortable in front of the camera. Out of all our wedding vendors, Paul was our absolute favorite to work with. The quality of the photos he delivered was truly amazing - 10/10! We are over the moon with how our wedding photos turned out. Paul is a true professional and we would recommend PMC Photography to anyone in a heartbeat.

Ahhh, Eve! I'm blushing! Thank you so much for the kind words! Working with the two of you was SO much fun -- from your Balboa Park engagement session with your blue Vespa to your rooftop festivities at Belmont Park! Hearing that I made you feel cared for is exactly what I aim for! Thanks for making me part of your special memories! I hope you two are enjoying Switzerland! Talk soon!

My style is cinematic, emotional, and story-focused. I blend natural moments with intentional direction to create images that are both artful and honest. The result is a timeless reflection of your day that feels personal and real.
Most couples book 12 to 18 months in advance—especially for peak dates in spring and fall. If your date is coming up sooner, feel free to reach out anyway; I sometimes have last-minute availability or associate coverage options. If photography is a high priority, I recommend reaching out early so we can create the best experience together.
My most popular wedding collections include a second photographer. Depending on the size of the wedding, I may also bring a photo assistant to aide me with lighting and gear.
Yes, I carry full professional liability insurance, which many venues require. I’m happy to provide documentation to your venue or coordinator upon request. It’s just one of the many ways I keep your day running smoothly and stress-free.
With over half a decade as a wedding photographer, I’ve never canceled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
Yes, every image is carefully edited for color, exposure, and consistency. My style is true to color, never trendy, so your photos look timeless and won’t feel dated years from now.
You’ll see sneak peeks just a few days after the wedding, and your full gallery is ready in about 3 to 4 weeks. Once you’ve had a chance to soak it all in, we’ll meet for your personalized design session to create your wedding album. Most couples have their finished album within 3 to 6 months.
You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
While I love film and even used to develop my own rolls at home, I shoot weddings digitally. Your wedding day deserves the best tools available. Digital gives me the reliability, flexibility, and consistency to capture every moment without missing a thing. If you love the look of film, I can absolutely create that feel, just without the limitations that come with film.
Yes, and I actually encourage it. Seeing a full gallery helps you understand how I capture every part of the day, not just the highlights. I’m happy to send one by request, and if I’ve worked at your venue before, I’ll include that as well.
The right photographer is more than a great portfolio. It’s about trust, connection, and how it feels to have that person by your side. I bring calm energy, clear direction, and a personal approach to every wedding. If that sounds like the experience you're looking for, let’s set up a quick call and get to know each other.
Not at all. I’ll help you create a family photo plan so everything flows smoothly. With a little prep, we can usually wrap it up in 20 minutes or less so you can get back to enjoying your day.
All of my full-day wedding collections include two photographers, which allows for more coverage, different angles, and better flow throughout the day. Some couples add a third for large or multi-location weddings. If you're planning a smaller or more intimate celebration, solo coverage might be just right.
Absolutely. Your wedding is unique, and your collection should reflect that. Whether you're planning a single-day celebration, a weekend-long event, or something in between, we’ll build a custom fit that matches your needs and priorities.
Each collection comes with a handcrafted album, a one-on-one design session to help you build it, and an assistant who supports me on your wedding day. For full-day weddings, a second photographer is also included to ensure even more moments are captured. From start to finish, you're fully supported.
Yes! Engagement sessions are a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera, connect with me as your photographer, and create gorgeous images for your Save The Dates, guestbook, or wall art.
Absolutely. Whether it’s a welcome dinner, cultural celebration, or a full wedding weekend, I’m happy to be there to tell the full story. I also travel for destination weddings and elopements across California and beyond. Let’s talk about what your unique celebration looks like and how I can support it fully.
Travel is complimentary within 75 miles of San Diego. If your celebration takes place beyond that or involves multiple locations, I’ll provide a custom quote up front. No surprises, just clear and simple details.
