Piper Brown Photography

I'm the photographer behind Piper Brown Photography, shooting weddings across Providence, Boston, Newport, and Southern Mass. My whole thing is less posing, more laughing. I specialize in couples convinced they're "just not photogenic" (you're my favorite people, I promise). When I'm not behind a camera, I'm a wife, a certified Wonder Woman fanatic, and the other half of a household run by Bandit, our adventure dog who thinks every hike is his personal photo shoot. Basically, I get how to make people laugh instead of stiffen up. That's the whole job.

I'm not chasing posed, stiff, magazine-perfect. I'm chasing the real stuff: the ugly-laughing, the happy-crying, the moment you forgot I was even there. If you're already dreading the camera, good. That's my specialty. Getting nervous, camera-shy couples to relax is genuinely the job I love most, and it's how the photos end up looking like you, not like a stock photo of a wedding. I'm also the only person you're getting. No team, no handoffs, no stranger showing up on your actual day. Just me, your day, and a whole lot of trust that you'll be able to be yourselves.

    8-15-2020 wedding

    We first met Morayo when we used her as our engagement photographer, she worked with us to adapt and find a new site (twice) when the weather kept ruining our plans. Morayo met us close to our home and did a beautiful rose garden shoot with us. Then when the pandemic hit she was reassuring and flexible throughout our ever changing planning process. While we had to cancel our reception and had a smaller ceremony instead, Morayo was still able to capture our getting ready photos, ceremony and formal photos perfectly. Morayo was so fun to work with and really helped us relax in front of the camera. We loved working with Morayo and would recommend her to anyone planning a wedding, especially in these crazy times!

Typically, couples book me about 13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 2-3 weeks after your wedding. Within this time, you can also expect to receive a link to an online gallery, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints.
You can expect about 50 to 75 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
In my 10 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
