I'm Matt Garcia, and thank you for checking out MGPHOTOTX. I would be honored to capture your special day in my personal style, giving you an album that’s emotive and timeless. I’ve been shooting weddings for over 10 years, discovering photography as a teenager capturing friends, family and my various travels. I shoot primarily in the Austin/San Antonio metroplex, but I am available to travel all over Texas and beyond. My aim is to be a fly on the wall. The best photos come when you both are acting in as natural a way as possible. I don't want to intrude into your psyche and distract you from enjoying your wedding day, so I like to assure my clients to trust my process and pay little attention to me so you have one less thing to worry about. There will obviously be times to set up shots and communicate closely, but I'm very easy-going and I like to work in a stress-free manner so the day will be enjoyable for us all.

    Matt perfectly captured every special moment of our wedding! His sense of style and timing are impeccable. He was so patient and flexible with our schedule and accommodated all of our requests. His editing turnaround time was reasonable and he provided us with tastefully edited, high resolution photos. I can't recommend him enough. Thank you, Matt!

    If you want fun, beautiful photos, use Matt! Everything looks gorgeous and he has such a cool, edgy street photographer eye. We had some ideas of what we wanted and he exceeded our expectations. Then we trusted him to pick out some poses/locations and they turned out amazing too! We chose Matt because we loved the vibe and tone of his Instagram photos. He did a great job with both “posed” photos and candid. Not everyone is good at both. He was beyond easy to work with and has such a relaxing demeanor. He never interfered with what was going on like some photographers. We highly recommend using MGPHOTOTX!

    I found this photographer here in Zola and I initially chose him because he fit my aesthetic. On the day of my wedding he was very passive aggressive and unprofessional. I am neurodivergent and I get overstimulated easily (especially because we were in the heat). He did not have a plan as to WHERE or HOW to take pictures and kept asking me where I wanted to take pictures. While taking our husbandwife pictures he made this comment “ look up, and try not to look miserable”. That was VERY out of line and not needed comment. He had a terrible attitude the WHOLE night. He did not uplift my husband or I, and we just felt like an inconvenience. 0/10 would not recommend.

    Hi Chelsi, Thank you for your honest review. Obviously there were some misunderstandings and some ignorance on my part concerning your condition that I wish I could’ve clarified and adjusted to, but here we are. I apologize for the perception I displayed, there was frustration on my part concerning the coordination of your wedding day but nothing personal with you or Ashton, and my “miserable” comment was just a joke I make sometimes to avoid overly serious expressions a lot of couples tend to make, my tone and expression was meant to be jovial and not insulting. I’m glad you still enjoyed the photos, but I apologize again for the experience, it’s not something normally reflective of me or my work as my other reviews will show. Take care and I wish you both the best.

    Matt was great to work with for both our engagement and wedding photos. The photo quality was outstanding and made for beautiful photo books. He has a skill for blending right into any group and making even us introverts feel comfortable.
