My name's Meg and I'm an elopement & intimate wedding photographer based in Sonoma County in Northern California. When my husband and I started planning our wedding day, we knew we wanted something very different than a traditional, cookie-cutter wedding day that centers on performance. We wanted an experience that was intimate, sentimental, and relaxed. And that's exactly what we created! We kept the traditions that made sense to us, and scrapped the rest without a shred of guilt.
I specialize in helping couples craft deeply meaningful, intentional, and authentic wedding experiences. Let's create your celebration based on the ways that are the most aligned with how you want to experience your dream wedding (whether that's a 2-day event in the mountains with your 15 closest people, sunrise to sunset just the two of you, or anywhere else our mutual imaginations take us). The Perfect Elopement and Adventure Photographer
We reached out to Meg while searching for an elopement photographer, and since we really wanted to get married surrounded by redwoods her portfolio resonated with us. Once we learned that she also provides resources and guidance to prepare, and vibed with her over an introductory call, we were instantly sold. Meg's insights and personable approach took so much of the stress out of the entire experience for us. Neither of us are super comfortable being the center of attention, nor are we the most comfortable in front of a camera, but Meg made the whole thing feel much more natural. A lot of people say that their wedding day goes by so fast, and while that may be true no matter what, the pace Meg encouraged us to take made every part of our elopement memorable and less frantic feeling than it almost definitely would have felt otherwise. She made sure we would take moments to be present and take in where we were, which really added to that unrushed feeling. Not having to worry about the timeline day-of was massive for this as well. We were encouraged to move through the day naturally and that really came through in the photos, and in the cases where we were posed more it didn't feel forced or awkward. For the format of our elopement, one day with family and one with close friends, having her photograph both days ended up being perfect for us. Our guests on both days spoke highly of Meg and their interactions with her, not to mention the photos that she delivered. She did a great job of getting a mix of photos of everyone! The candids in particular captured precious moments and the overall vibes. Not to mention, the turnaround time on the photos was impressive and there were so many gorgeous photos. It made it impossible to narrow down even for an album of 200 photos! Her editing style really suited the overall aesthetic and vibe of our elopement, and it definitely enhanced these already beautiful shots. Especially impressive given that we had a few very distinct locations where we had photos taken, including redwoods, the coast, and a small outdoor eating area. She really captured the environments so well, not to mention the more artistic detail shots were beautifully arranged. We would absolutely recommend getting in touch with Meg if any of this resonates with you! She really is the best, and we can't imagine navigating this whole experience without her.
Meg is THE best!
From our first phone call with Meg, we immediately knew she was the perfect fit for us. We were planning our elopement in California from New York so finding someone that we connected with and trusted without ever meeting was a big risk. But during our call Meg took the time to get to know us as individuals and as a couple, and ever more so after our first call to truly find out what we wanted out of our special day. Along the way she was so helpful with sending suggestions of locations, fun things to do, and once we narrowed it down sent a timeline to keep us on track. The day of our elopement we never felt like she was a pushy photographer like traditional wedding photographers are. She let us enjoy our time together and have those special moments. We can’t recommend Meg enough if you’re looking for a micro wedding or an elopement photographer!
Working with Meg was a dream!
When we got married originally, we already had ideas of how we wanted our 10 year vow renewal to go. Fast forward to 10 years later (and several sessions with Meg already in the books), we knew we couldn't do this idea without her! When we first emailed Meg, she was already on board and so game to jump into the crazy idea of not only a sunrise photoshoot in the dessert but also a walking wedding on the Vegas strip and a club bus. Nothing seemed to phase her. When we got to planning, Meg was so helpful in keeping us keep on track and checking in with ideas or backup ideas. Once the vow renewal was said and done, Meg had all of our photos back to us in under a week (!!) and oh man, did she nail every single one! We can't even imagine picking just one favorite. Meg is the only photographer we could have imagined using and are still in awe that she choose to work with us on it! To this day, it feels like a fever dream of an event, and having Meg there to document it made it even more of a dream.
Best elopement / micro-wedding photographer ever!!
Working with Meg was amazing and I would certainly recommend her to anyone looking for an elopement or small, intimate wedding experience! She gave us a ton of guidance that helped us plan the perfect weekend, from recommending vendors to finding STUNNING locations. She made us feel super comfortable throughout the day and the final wedding album looks AMAZING. We're so happy we chose to work with Meg!
