My name is Leander, but most people call me LJ. I'm a wedding and family photographer based in Richmond, Virginia, and I believe that photographs aren't decoration. Your photographs are documentation of a life that's been fully lived. Loving people like Christ, paying attention to what matters to them, and showing up with intention is how I attempt to move through the world.

I don't show up to document. I show up to direct. To pull you out of your head and into the moment, so what ends up on your wall is the truest version of that day. From the first conversation to the final gallery, I am completely, unhurriedly yours.

Typically, couples book me about 9 months to a year before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
You will be able to view your full gallery online about 4-6 weeks after your wedding. Within this time, you can also expect to receive some preview images to share within a week after your wedding day!
Of course! I ask for a retainer to secure your booking with me, and any other specific payment plans will be discussed during the consultation.
Yes, I do. Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
I do offer videography as an ad-on to my packages. You can choose between ceremony only or add on a videographer for up to 8 hours of coverage for a cinematic highlight film.
