About Lipham Photography

Lipham Photography

From the moment I held my first camera, I fell in love with capturing life’s unique beauty. Growing up, I spent countless hours photographing flowers, creating whimsical photoshoots with my cousin, and discovering the magic that only photography can bring to everyday moments. Today, I specialize in senior portraits, where I have the honor of preserving such a meaningful time in my clients' lives. Recently, I’ve also begun exploring wedding photography, a natural next step that allows me to celebrate and capture the joy of love and family.

Whether I’m working with a high school senior, a bride on her big day, or a family creating new memories, my goal is always the same: to make each person feel their absolute best. I love to make you feel you.

    Wedding Portraits

We got married in August 2025 but only did a few photos at the ceremony and wanted more stylized portraits. Our favorite place is Biig Bend NP so we toyed with the idea of taking photos there. I contacted Katelyn, who I'd previously done a Mommy & Me session with. She was so excited to work with us in a beautiful location. After twp discussions, we narrowed down the location to Santa Elena Canyon. The Rio Grande was cold but Kately captured the most amazing shots! We were fighting the setting sun against the canyon walls but Katelyn worked all the angles and was a master at posing us. Every image is perfection. We also brought the ultrasound of the baby we lost to get a few memorial shots and she handled everything delicately and sensitively. 5/5 stars. You won't be disappointed if you hire her!

    Family Pics w/ children

Lipham Photography was the perfect choice for our family pictures. From the very beginning, their communication was fantastic - they were responsive, helpful, and made us feel at ease throughout the entire process. On the day of, the photographer was so patient and kind, even with our four, five, seven, and 3 month old children in tow. She embraced their individuality and captured the most beautiful, genuine moments that we will cherish forever. The quality of the photos is incredible, and we can't wait to hang them up in our home. We're so grateful to Lipham Photography for helping make our special day perfect!

Amazing person to work with and very adaptable

I booked a session for my sister and her family, which was very easy to do through the website. Katelyn was very open to the ideas we had for the photoshoot and was willing to adapt to new ideas we had on the spot. My sister has 4 kids and Katelyn was able to handle them all with ease and make them feel comfortable. I also loved the different poses she came up for them to do! I would love to work with her again!

    Loved working with Lipham Photography

I did a Mommy & Me session with Katelyn. She is very sweet and patient with everyone. Five year olds are not the easiest to work with, and mine is pretty sassy, but she let her play and rollerskate around the park and got shots that way. Because of how she treated my daughter, she was able to get her to do some setups and poses she initially said no to. She also has a beautiful eye for lighting and is naturally good at posing people to best capture their personalities. She would be great for any situation and patient enough to work with a variety of different people and personalities.

Please bring any memorabilia that you’d like in your photos. Detail shots are some of the best for weddings!
For anyone within the Midland/Odessa area, it is included! But for my beautiful clients outside of the Permian Basin, I charge for mileage. This is because, on top of the time dedicated to capturing your moments, I do have to dedicate time to getting to you. And if it's a destination wedding, or I would need to have sleeping arrangements, we can talk about that. Again, I’m happy to discuss any alternatives with you if this doesn’t work!
You can scroll on Instagram or view their website photos, but most photographers don't post the entire gallery of their clients. Ask to see a full gallery to really get a look at their shooting and editing style. See what photos didn't make the cut for socials look like, and determine if these are the photos you want to look at for the next 50 years. Posing is a big factor, too. See what that looks like and if it's something both of you would be comfortable with. Are there more candid photos, and is that your style? It's OK if not. Always communicate what you're comfortable with, and what you're not!
Most photographers shoot with two cameras, two separate memory cards for major events. NOW, not ALL photographers do this, as cameras and lenses are expensive. So, having multiples of everything isn't always realistic. If that's the case, then ask what the plan is for when they are done shooting. A smart tactic is to upload all the photos to a drive and some sort of folder on a device. Whether that's a folder on another computer, or a folder in iCloud, Google Drive, etc. Your photos will always be backed up when you shoot with me. Edited and raw files.
Depending on how large, how long, the location, and a few other factors, editing time can range. It's smart to know about how long your photographer will have your photos before delivering a sneak peek and the entire gallery. You have every right to be excited and eager to see your photos. Who wouldn't be? So find someone who fits your timeline if that's going to be a lingering thought. But also know 2-3 weeks might be a stretch, especially if it was a wedding versus an elopement. 4-5 weeks is about how long it takes me to edit a wedding gallery and get that delivered to you. Elopements will sit at that 2-3 week mark.
