Hey! I’m Lara (say it like Sarah). I’m a Detroit native, but have been soaking up the gorgeous South Florida sunshine since 2014. I love working in both Florida and Michigan! I’m an old soul: a lot of my friends joke that I’m 30 going on 90. I love old movies, interesting traditions, crossword puzzles, Peruvian food, animals, and Harry Potter.. I love traveling the world with my favorite travel buddy, my husband. We got married in 2017, and going through that process of being a bride myself gave me a fresh perspective on the art of documenting a wedding day.

I care DEEPLY about my couples and all of their details. My attention to detail, my empathy, and my artistic candid vision all stand out to my couples :) I find each wedding a complete honor to document and treat each wedding and family very uniquely.

    Excellent

    We worked alongside with Lara for a wedding she photographed, and that I filmed. She is a great communicator, connects well with her couples, is sweet, takes candid pictures, but also encourages natural movement. Delivers photos quickly and is a really sweet person :) Would recommend

    Incredibly Talented and Fun Photographer

    Lara Rose is one of the most professional and talented photographers that I have had the pleasure to work with in the wedding industry. She not only delivers stunning work to her clients, she also is a truly authentic and kind person making the whole process an absolute joy.     Wedding photography

    Lara is the kindest, sweetest person you will meet. I am SO thankful and glad that I made the decision to go with Lara for our pre-wedding ceremony and wedding day photography! There aren't enough good things I can say about her. She showed up both days promptly and was full of energy to keep everyone looking their best and showing their best smiles for the photos! I even asked if she could stay a bit later than what we had agreed upon initially, and she gladly accepted. The pictures are absolute perfection and my husband & I couldn't have asked for anything better! Lara and her team made sure to capture all the moments and we couldn't be happier!

    The most confident decision you'll make

    We can't recommend Lara higher as a wedding photographer. Aside from the fact that she is charismatic and very easy to work with, she was very communicative and we knew exactly what to expect. She's thorough and very organized from the get-go. As we prepped for our big day, she was on top of everything from our day's timeline to learning the intricacies of our families. On our wedding day, she somehow managed to be everywhere all at once, not missing any of the tiny details or the big moments of our day. We could not be happier with how gorgeous our photos turned out, we get nothing but compliments on them.

Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.
No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
In my 12 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to download your photos about 7-8 weeks after your wedding. You'll also receive a Sharing Gallery link so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints.
