I'm 31 years young and based in San Antonio. I am a creative storyteller who believes professional photography should be genuine, detail-oriented, and empowering to those in front of the lens. I strive to hit pause of life's moments - including the heart happy smiles and vulnerability hidden in the silence. I live to capture humans who are wildly passionate, unique, and down to earth.

Every client and every session is curated with a mixture of fun + (sometimes food/music) + touch of the unexpected to get you out of your comfort zone. Be it an impromptu dance party, a mini trip for snacks, a quick change of environment. When you choose JFSM, you choose ab photographer who will collaborate with you to make your vision a reality.

    Awesome Photographer Collab

    Candid, memorable, creative

    Brittney took our engagement photos, and it was a BLAST. She creates an atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable behind a camera, even if you're "not photogenic." I am definitely not very photogenic, nor do I feel very comfortable posing in front of a camera, but Brittney made it more like a talk show than a photo shoot. She talks to you to give suggestions. She said, "Darren, whisper something funny into Cami's ear." We both ended up laughing, and it's one of my favorite photos. I was able to be present with my fiancé instead of "being on screen." My fiancé also enjoyed the experience. He laughed a LOT during our session, and he easily understood Brittney's suggestions for poses, timing, etc. There was a variety of photos taken, from sunset photos, Christmas card worthy photos, and some that focused my engagement ring. We even purchased some hard copies and hung them on our walls at home! I smile every time I think of that day.

Typically, couples book me about 13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame I'd love to chat!
Sometimes, I’ll bring an assistant or a second photographer to help me get the best angles of your day. Having another person makes the day a little easier to capture. Some collections have one included for your easy of mind, if not included, it is an a la carte add-on option.
Definitely. All final images go through a digital darkroom process and will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I do not edit body shape/size.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view a set of sneak peaks within 3 days of your wedding and a fully gallery in about 4-6 weeks after!
In my 5 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
A booking proposal will be sent. To confirm booking a signed contract and a non-refundable $1,000 retainer is due at the time of booking.
I believe in quality over quantity, but you expect an average of 100-300 images depending on your package.
