I've been in the business for over 18 years so I've seen a lot change and evolve though the years. I bring expertise to the table as well as a background in special education. Having two children of my own and having taught for over a decade, I also bring patience and grace to every person I meet. I believe love is love and I accept and welcome anyone and everyone who allows me to tell their love story.

I've been photographing weddings for 18 years and absolutely love what I do. I've seen trends come and go and try to stick with beautiful, emotive imagery that will stand the test of time. My style is a bit documentary meets editorial with a vibrant, "lightly" moody editing style. My goal as your photographer is to capture all the emotions and energy of the day while also seeking out the magic light can create. Storytelling meets fine art. I'll be the problem solver, people wrangler, child whisperer, and creative director you need. I'm discreet when I need to be and commanding when I need to be. I'll be your photographer and so much more.

This package is a great option for full coverage if your ceremony and reception are at the same venue. This should get you all those getting ready photos all the way through to the grand exit! I will work with you on our first call to create a timeline for the day. This package comes with 2 photographers so that everything is fully covered and an engagement session! An engagement session is a great way to get to know me before the big day, have fun and have beautiful photos for save the dates!

This is the most all inclusive package and will ensure that every detail is captured from the very beginning to the very end. With 10 hours of coverage, this is a great option for those having a ceremony at a different location than the reception- or just for couples really wanting to capture it all! This package includes an engagement session so we can get to know each other before the big day, get you comfortable in front of the camera and get you some amazing photos for your save the dates!

    Worth Every Penny

    From our very first conversation with Heather, we knew she was the perfect photographer for us. She was so easy to communicate with throughout the entire process, which made wedding planning that much less stressful. On our wedding day, she went above and beyond.     The best photographer!

    Beautiful Photos

    Heather was a very efficient and professional photographer. She caught many moments that I am so grateful to have.     Heather is AWESOME!

    We booked Heather to shoot our courthouse wedding and backyard wedding party. She was responsive to emails, very easy to talk to, made guests comfortable, and quickly made recommendations for what pictures to take and when. Our pictures were received in a timely manner and all of them look fantastic. She shot people, decor, special moments, and has an excellent eye for what makes a good photo. Her pricing is fair and she is clearly very experienced. We would definitely work with her again.

    Even better than I hoped for!

    Heather was truly a dream to work with. She was so easygoing and really helped our wedding day go smoothly. We talked through my vision for our photos and she really delivered. She captured the exact vibe I was hoping for. Our photos turned out so gorgeous! She made the whole experience so fun and easy. She was also perfectly on time with returning our photos.

Typically, couples book me about 6-18 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame. if your date is during the spring or fall months, it's a good idea to book as early as possible since that's busy season.
About half of my weddings will have a second photographer there with me. This is something we'll discuss on our consultation call and determine if your wedding could benefit from a second shooter or not.
I do edit the images and do not outsource the editing. That said, we can sometimes take thousands of pictures on your big day. Afterwards, I'll go through ever single image and decide if its worth including. I only want to give you the best of the best and will make sure that every image tells a part of your story and will also make sure that nothing is left out.
I have an 8 week turn around time for weddings and a 2 week turn around time for engagement and bridal sessions.
You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
In my 18 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
