Aloha! My name is Emily, I started my company in 2019 but have been a photographer for years before then. I was born on Maui, grew up in San Clemente, CA and now reside on Maui with my husband Daniel! We both love the ocean, surfing, and traveling together. As your photographer, I always put you in priority over "getting the shot" and want to make sure you have just as much fun as I do in front of the lens. I'm here to listen and watch you interact, hype you up, fix the little details that you can't see, and ultimately be your friend for the short time we spend together.

Photography is my part time job, I also am a missionary with Christian Surfers as the Outreach Coordinator for the USA. I am passionate about using my love of surfing to reach other surfers around the world and share the love of Jesus Christ with them. Since that job is 100% donor based, I use my photo company to supplement my income at the non-profit. Thanks to you, I am reaching lost and broken souls and bringing hope to beach communities around the world. I am so grateful for my clients!

Wedding Coverage

Description

Baseline price includes 6 hours of wedding day coverage, images digitally delivered on an online gallery, full rights to high-res images, next day sneak peeks, wedding day prep meetings, and schedule of shooting plan delivered before the wedding day. Option to add a second shooter, and/or additional hours of coverage available. Travel fees may be included if the wedding location is outside of southern CA.

Engagement Shoot

Description

One hour engagement shoot includes creative help in designing your shoot, outfit advice/recommendations, location shouting, 2 outfit shoot, posing direction, next day sneak peeks, online gallery of final images, and full rights to photos for printing and personal usage. Additional hours are added at $350/hr. Travel fees may be added if shoot location is outside of Southern CA.

    Dreamy Photos

    Emily is extremely organized, is easy communicate with, and a joy to work with. She took our engagement photos back in 2019 and I’m still obsessed with them. Since then she’s been documenting different seasons of our life and we will continue to choose Emily to capture our big life moments.

Typically, couples book me about 6-12 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame. There is always a chance that your date will fit into my schedule!
Sometimes, I’ll suggest having a second shooter with me depending on the size or length of your wedding. There is a baseline $350 added to your quote for an assistant since I pay them and edit all their photos! My assistants are all qualified and experienced photographers and I hold a high value on the people I hire to be by my side to represent me and capture your big day!
After your wedding or engagement shoot, I go through all the photos and pick the absolute best ones (typically around 50-100 photos per hour of coverage). Once I pick those, I will edit all of them before adding them to your online gallery. I don't believe in heavily photoshopped photos, the images will reflect the real you! But don't worry, if you have a pimple, I will definitely get rid of that!
No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible. However, I do have a handful of videographers that I trust and recommend!
For weddings, my average turnaround time is 3-6 weeks and for an engagement shoot, my turnaround is 2-4 weeks. I know waiting can be a difficult skill so I send a handful of sneak peeks 24-48hrs after our time together so you can have a few images to post on social media and share with family and friends!
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
I'm all about that real color, natural light editing look. There are a lot of photographers that like to enhance the warm colors (which is a beautiful style) or edit very bright and airy (another nice look) but I'm much more into making the pictures look like you are standing right there. I also get a lot of inspiration from film photographers in my editing style.
