Hi, I’m Stephanie, the owner of Dark Horse Photography in Connecticut. I’m also a full-time nurse, so helping people feel comfortable comes naturally to me. For weddings, I team up with Woody of Images by Woody. We bring different perspectives and a shared love for capturing connection, personality, and the moments that unfold naturally. My style is true to color with an earthy, moody feel, and I love pairing that look with the real laughter and emotion that make your photos personal. You don’t need to know how to pose—we’ll guide you, laugh right along with you, and make sure your photos feel like you.

Woody and I bring different strengths that work so well together. I’m drawn to storytelling—the movement, emotion, and little moments that connect it all. Woody brings an eye for light and crisp, clean images. Together, you get a mix of photographs that tell your story and portraits you’ll want on your wall. We balance each other out, make each other laugh, and love bringing you into that fun. We’re also organized and there to help throughout the day, so you can feel taken care of and enjoy every bit of it.

    Couldn’t ask for a better photographer!

    Stephanie does such an amazing job and captures your special moments with a creative eye! I was so impressed by the images. She’s a storyteller with her work. Highly recommend Stephanie. She’s very personable, professional, and just the right person.

    I had such a wonderful experience! She made me feel completely comfortable and at ease, which made the whole experience so much more enjoyable. She was creative, encouraging, and honest, and I really appreciated her guidance throughout the session. I felt confident and I’m so happy with the photos. I highly recommend her!

    I had such a great experience with Stephanie! She made me feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful throughout the entire shoot.     Stephanie did such amazing work! She was very personable and made my husband and I comfortable throughout the photoshoot. I received the full album from our 1 hour elopement session 3 days after! Such a quick turnaround for amazing photographs! I’ve already recommended Stephanie to a few friends!
