About Bluefire Photography

Bluefire Photography

Owner/Photographer

At Bluefire Photography, every image starts with intention and ends with a lasting impression. I’m Kristin, a San Antonio-based wedding photographer passionate about capturing the real, emotional moments of your day. From the quiet getting-ready shots to the joy-filled celebration, I’m there with a calm, steady presence and 15+ years of experience. My style is honest, poetic, and personal—focused on preserving both the big moments and the in-between magic that make your wedding truly yours.

This isn’t just about taking pretty pictures. When you book me, you're choosing someone who shows up fully—camera in hand, heart wide open, 100% in your corner. Most of the couples I photograph aren’t models. They’re real people who may feel unsure in front of the camera. That nervous energy? I embrace it. With relaxed prompts, a few terrible (but effective) jokes, and a calm approach, I’ll help you loosen up and forget the camera’s even there. No stiff posing. No fake smiles. Just genuine moments that feel like you. Show up as yourselves—I’ll take care of the rest and deliver joy-filled images you'll love for decades.

I typically book 9–18 months in advance. Popular dates fill up quickly, so the sooner you reach out, the better!
I usually shoot solo, but you can add a second photographer for additional coverage—perfect for capturing multiple angles or larger weddings.
Yes! Every delivered image is professionally edited and lightly retouched in my signature style. You’ll only receive the best of the best—no duplicates or blinks.
While I focus solely on photography, I’m happy to recommend trusted videographers I’ve worked with and know you'll love.
You’ll receive a sneak peek within 72 hours and your full gallery within 6–12 weeks.
It varies by wedding, but most couples receive 500–800 high-resolution images for a full day of coverage.
Absolutely. I carry full liability insurance, and I’m happy to provide documentation to your venue if needed.
In the rare case of an emergency, I have a trusted network of experienced wedding photographers I can call on. I’ll provide you with a shortlist of available options so you can choose the one that feels like the best fit for your day. I’ll handle all the coordination to ensure you’re fully taken care of—no added stress on your end.
Yes! Engagement sessions are included in most wedding packages. They’re a fun, low-pressure way to get comfortable in front of the camera and help us build a connection before the big day.
Yes! I love helping couples build a photography-friendly timeline. After booking, we’ll work together to plan the best flow for your day so you get all the images you’re dreaming of—with zero stress.
Yes! Your online gallery includes access to a professional print shop for high-quality prints, canvases, and heirloom albums. I also offer custom album design services to preserve your memories beautifully.
Of course! I’m happy to share full galleries so you can see what a complete wedding day looks like from start to finish. Just ask—I want you to feel confident and excited about your investment.
I’m based in San Antonio, TX but absolutely travel! If your wedding is outside the area, travel fees may apply depending on the location. I’d love to hear about your plans.
Absolutely. I understand that every wedding is different. If you need something outside of my standard collections, I’m happy to create a custom package that fits your needs and timeline.
Booking is easy! Once we’ve chatted and confirmed your date, I’ll send over a contract and invoice. A signed agreement and a non-refundable retainer (which goes toward your total balance) officially secure your date on my calendar.
