About Ash and Vine Photography

Ash and Vine Photo

Photographer

Hey! I’m Shannon, Washington based wedding + elopement photographer I’m so stoked you’re here! Wife and Mama are some of my other titles, along with coffee connoisseur and an avid daydreamer. Sit back with a cup of coffee or glass of wine and stay awhile! Say hey if you’re digging it! I might come off quiet at first, but you’ll be surprised once you get to know me. I

I’ll probably cry during your ceremony and then break it down with you on the dance floor! I’m down to hike up a mountain, or be your witness in a courthouse elopement if that means you get to marry your person, your way! If you’re planning a do-whatever-YOU-want kinda wedding, I’m your girl!

I live in Tacoma, WA with my husband, babe, and dog. Most elopements & weddings I do serve the greater Seattle/Tacoma area. That said, I absolutely love traveling so if you’re inquiring about an elopement outside of the local area, the answer will be heck yeah!
For couples sessions I give a minimum of 60 files, elopements a minimum of 200. Intimate weddings get a minimum of 300 and larger weddings, minimum of 400. I don’t cap maximums. I go through your entire session frame by frame and only pick the golden ones. I won’t miss a thing and only give the the best of the best.
No. Editing is a huge part of my art. It’s half of the magic making. I’ll give you all the the photos you’ll want, and if you think something is missing, just ask. It’s all about trust!
The only way this is going to happen is if i’m in the hospital or I have a family emergency/death. If, God forbid, something out of my control were to happen, I would personally find you a replacement day of photographer whom I trust completely and who’s work you love.
If you’ve already booked a date with me, and for some reason need to cancel, the retainer fee is non-refundable. Please understand, I’m not trying to steal your money. I do this because once your date is in my calendar, I’m counting on that money to pay my bills that month. I’ve also likely turned down other sessions for that same date.
We live in the PNW. It’s gonna rain. If we rescheduled every time the forecast changed we’d never get things done. So unless the weather is extreme, let’s embrace it. The rain can add a fun element to photos and make for great memories too!
Thats a nope. I work hard to cultivate an experience and lasting memories. I believe in capturing you in the most authentic and truthful way. I believe that you’ll cherish the perfectly imperfect of your life 20 years from now. That being said, if there is a scar or pimple (something that is temporary and will disappear in a few weeks) I will brush it out of the photos.
Once you book your session with me, you’ll receive a full guide on what to wear and how to create a mood with clothes! I gotcha!
No. It wouldn’t be fair to all my other fully paying clients to offer discounts.
I’ ve found that mini sessions just aren’t enough time to truly connect with my clients and create the type of art and memories I believe are so important. I promise, you won’t be disappointed booking a full session.
