I could give you my spill about how I started shooting with a film Minolta in middle school and that it tugged my heart so deeply I never set the camera down. But I would rather share with you what I love. What I enjoy. What I'm about. I have a passionate soul. I get way too excited too easily. I smile at just about anything. I'm terrible with names. I'm a retired certified public accountant. I'm allergic to dogs. I own WAY too many shoes. I want a tattoo of a vintage camera. I love what I do so much it takes my breath away. This is me. The real me. Not the "fake, I hope I sold you" me. Now let's see if we can make this thing work.

I catch myself so many times wishing life away and I have to force myself to stop. Take it all in. To not lose site of the little things that make this life worth living. That's why I love photography. Because those little things that you never want to forget become a permanent memory. You know what happens when you look at a photograph? Your mind is immediately reminded of the moments that happened before and after that snapshot along with the emotions you were feeling. That one photograph preserves that moment forever.

Amanda May was absolutely amazing to work with for our wedding! From the very beginning, she was professional, organized, and incredibly sweet. She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and guided us through poses so naturally that everything felt easy and fun. Amanda has a great eye for capturing special moments, and her positive energy made the entire experience enjoyable. She struck the perfect balance between being professional and keeping things relaxed, which helped us feel confident and truly enjoy our day. We can’t express how much Amanda helped us through the wedding process. From engagement pictures, to the wedding day she was on top of everything and made us feel special/important. AMP is the best!!!
From day one, we knew we wanted to use Amanda May Photos! She was easy to get in touch with, super professional, very clear with pricing and how everything would work. Then once we booked her she helped us stay organized throughout the whole process which made our lives super easy! Having good, clear wedding photos was at the very top of our priority list, and WOW did she deliver!!! We used one of her associate photographers, Andrea Goodman, with a second shooter Cyd Weeks. They were amazing!!! They made the wedding day so fun and their photos were truly beautiful. We got a 48 hour sneak peak, and then a week later we got 150 photos and we cannot wait to see the rest! I promise you will not regret booking Amanda May Photos. Best decision!!!

AMAZING, seriously, look no further
Amanda is a phenomenal photographer and person! She and her team are SO SO much more than just a photography team. Every step of the way she is present and committed to ensuring your day/ pictures are exactly what want. She is worth every single penny, every single time! There are truly not words to describe how caring and loving she is. I tend to get nervous and awkward in front of the camera but she had the perfect prompts and directions which made me feel so much more comfortable and confident. These pictures are going to last a lifetime and they are timeless, stunning, and elevated. There is no one I would trust as much as her!

Wedding photography
We hired Amanda for our engagement, personal photoshoot and wedding day. She was amazing to work with from start to finish, and we absolutely loved our photos! From helping us pick which package best fit our needs to walking us through our shots for the wedding day, Amanda was a dream to have by our side. She promptly answered all of our questions, made us feel so comfortable, and included personalized goodies with regular check-ins up until our big day. We didn’t hire a wedding planner and Amanda made the whole planning process so much less stressful. She’s so kind, produces beautiful art and is so easy to work with. We would highly recommend Amanda to everybody for any occasion!
