I could give you my spill about how I started shooting with a film Minolta in middle school and that it tugged my heart so deeply I never set the camera down. But I would rather share with you what I love. What I enjoy. What I'm about. I have a passionate soul. I get way too excited too easily. I smile at just about anything. I'm terrible with names. I'm a retired certified public accountant. I'm allergic to dogs. I own WAY too many shoes. I want a tattoo of a vintage camera. I love what I do so much it takes my breath away. This is me. The real me. Not the "fake, I hope I sold you" me. Now let's see if we can make this thing work.

I catch myself so many times wishing life away and I have to force myself to stop. Take it all in. To not lose site of the little things that make this life worth living. That's why I love photography. Because those little things that you never want to forget become a permanent memory. You know what happens when you look at a photograph? Your mind is immediately reminded of the moments that happened before and after that snapshot along with the emotions you were feeling. That one photograph preserves that moment forever.

Amanda is absolutely incredible! Working with her felt like having a close friend helping us with wedding planning. She is so sweet, kind, and talented! Can I give 10 stars? Look no further for your photographer because Amanda is absolutely incredible!! She is the best of the best! My husband & I first met Amanda when she photographed my sister’s wedding in Tennessee in 2023. She was so kind & friendly, plus the pictures she took spoke for themselves! Although we weren’t engaged at that time nor did we live there, we just KNEW we had to have Amanda as our photographer if she traveled! (Spoiler alert: she does!) She traveled to Colorado for an absolutely breathtaking engagement photo session & then to Cape Cod to capture our dream wedding! Our wedding day was absolutely amazing & Amanda played such a huge part in that. She’s so easy to get along with & even if it’s a new venue, she is so great at finding the best spots for the best pictures with the best lighting. The love and genuine care she has for what she does and her clients is so evident! She’s your go-to hype girl behind the camera, which as a bride on a day where you may feel a little nervous (in the best way), is so refreshing! We truly cannot thank Amanda enough for being part of our special day & capturing our love in such a way that helps us relive the best day over & over again! Talk about the best of the best but also the kindest of humans!! Amanda May is not only the most gifted photographer that I know but she happens to be amazing inside and out!! She and I had the privilege to work alongside each other for years in the wedding world and has become a dear friend to me and my family! Her getting to do our engagement session and wedding day was like a full circle moment! She makes you feel so comfortable, relaxed and makes every picture SO FUN and not to mention every single photo we have seen so far is extraordinary!!! So, don’t look any further Amanda May is your girl for all things photos!!!!

We had to move our wedding up a year due to an illness in the family and Amanda decided to accommodate us despite having two other weddings that day. We had one of her associate photographers, Cyd Weeks, shoot our day but Amanda edited the photos. Both are absolute rockstars - incredibly professional, kind, and not to mention awesome at their jobs. I do not know how we got so lucky to find them and for them to go out of their way to shoot an additional wedding. All this to say, if you are looking for a great photographer, I cannot recommend Amanda enough!

I'm so thankful the Lord crossed our paths and we were able to serve you and your family on this most joyful day! Cyd could not stop talking about how amazing your circle of family and friends were. How much fun you guys were and how well you loved one another. She especially loved the first big dance song dedicated to all the women in the room and as I edited those photos I could feel the energy and I was sad I wasn't there to witness it myself... pretty incredible stuff! Thank you for asking us to be a part of your day and trusting us with all those beautiful memories.
