About Aim True Photography

Aim True Photography

Owner, Head Photographer

I absolutely have a passion for wedding (and lets be honest, couples photography) photography. I do not want you go to through what I went through when I got married almost 20 years ago. I do not like my wedding photos. Some are good. Some have my husband and I's personality, but ultimately there's nothing special about them and I cannot print them off! I want my couples to be in love with their photos and look back in 10 years and still feel that love. My work is timeless and classic, yet modern and fun. I love true to life editing and bold colors.

I love making my couples laugh. I love making my couples feel at home with me, like we have been friends for a long time. I do not scare easily, I roll with whatever punches come our way on your wedding day. I am optimistic as heck, so I can put a good spin on anything "bad". You get my custom swag bag that I give all my couples (you get OBK wine, a custom made candle, trinkets and polaroid's of your day).

You can add on a 2nd shooter to any packages of mine! The 10 hour wedding comes automatically with a 2nd shooter already. I always suggest this to my couples as it helps decrease any stress of going back and forth with the wedding couple, but I can do it by myself.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 6-8 weeks after your wedding, 8-12 for busy season. Within this time, you can also expect to receive a digital gallery with high-resolution image files, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints. I do not expire my galleries, so if you lose them or something tragically happens, I will always have your photos.
In my 5 (10 years as a photographer) years of full time experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a wedding. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues that I trust fully. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame. This means 6 plus months in advance
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also get rid of anything that shouldn't be there to look aesthetically pleasing, smoothing of the skin, taking care of bruises or blemishes, etc. I will not alter my couples bodies. You are beautiful just the way you are!
No. Plain and simple. ;)
YES! I pride myself in knowing how to shoot in every lighting situation. I 100% believe that every photographer needs to know this. When it comes to wedding venues, not every venue is equal. Some will have lots of light and some will not. Some will be an orange barn, some will have beautiful white walls. Some will be solely outside and some inside on a dark and rainy day. I have my trusty flash that will help and enhance any wedding venue situation that I do know how to use.
For weddings/elopements I travel outside of set parameters. Anything outside of traveling 60 minutes I will charge a travel fee. Most of those parameters are anything outside of Olympia and Seattle. I charge extra for Mt. Rainier, Olympic National Park, Leavenworth, eastern Washington, the Cascades, Washington coast, Oregon (from Portland, to Cannon Beach and all the way to Medford), and so on. Some places in Oregon I wont need lodging, unless it is Bend, then I will, but for the sake of my car and gas, that is what I charge for.
You can expect about 50 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors (like getting ready, first look or not, wedding couple portraits, wedding part photos, ceremony, cocktail hour and what goes on during your reception).
