Hello! I'm Michelle, your hairstyling hype girl & Owner of Modest Medusa! I am a licensed Hair Stylist, based in Snohomish, with nearly a decade of experience in the wedding industry. As we all know, hair changes with every trend, so I do my best to continually challenge & educate myself. My favorite styles are soft & romantic, but I never hesitate to do something edgy. I have an eye for symmetry & balance, & I’m determined to meet each client’s hair dreams. Throughout all corners of the PNW, I’ll travel to you day-of! When I’m not behind the salon chair, I enjoy painting, baking, hiking, & spending time with my fiancé & our three dogs.

I only book one wedding per day, because you deserve to have my full attention! Neither of us should feel rushed on top of an already specific timeline. Have a bigger bridal party? No problem! I have bonus Hairstylists who can accompany me. Modest Medusa is inclusive and LGBTQ+ friendly, providing hairstyling services to everyone! I’ve been told am friendly and calming, but also one of the best behind the scenes hype girl! Not only will I bring an arsenal of hair products, but I will also bring a day-of emergency kit. Safety Pins? Tums? A Fan? Dress Tape? I’ve got you!

    Michelle: the -coolest-kind hearted-creative-smart-organized-honest hairdresser and bridal hair stylist. I came to Michelle first for a bridal hair trial and then a hair cut, Michelle was open to trying the styles I had in mind and when I would ask for her honest opinions, they were genuine. It is hard when most of the examples you see on sites are photoshopped or filtered. Michelle works with integrity and some spice (which is needed on the big day btw) and I looked forward to just seeing her! I was never anxious with her because I just knew she'd take care of things. Thank you Michelle for putting me first when that was the last thing I was trying to do on my wedding day. Oh and your fan came in a clutch.

    My Disney hair wedding dreams were brought to life. I didn’t know we could do what we did with my hair, but Michelle made me have a Rapunzel inspired braid and I really felt like a princess on my wedding day. She helped during photos putting my veil in and out and eased my stress! She’s realistic and honest, professional and listens to what you want. On trial day and wedding day she was lively, fun, and made me feel like it was my day, and hyped me up when I needed it. I’m so happy Michelle was my hairstylist on my wedding day. She’s absolutely amazing.

    She was amazing, I was extremely overwhelmed with the wedding planning so I didn’t have time to do a trial. I decided to put my faith in her expertise and I couldn’t be more happy with the result. She did exactly what I wanted and I looked so pretty!
