Say hello to your hairstyling hype girl: collector of bleach stains & bobby pins! I’m Michelle, the lead hairstylist/owner of Modest Medusa, a licensed Hairstylist based in Snohomish WA, I specializing in wedding hair. With 10 years of experience in the wedding industry, I’m passionate about providing a personalized & customized experience for each client. I truly love my craft! I travel to all corners of the PNW & beyond (seriously, I’m always up for an adventure!). While my favorite styles are soft & romantic, I’m always excited to take on alternative & edgy looks.
I only book one event per day because you deserve my full attention! Neither of us should feel rushed, especially with an already packed timeline. I pride myself on being transparent with my clients because I understand that not every hairstyle is right for every individual. I’ll offer my suggestions and work with you to ease any worries, ensuring we create a hair design that complements your attire, theme, and the weather. I may only do hair, but I believe that allows you to also find a makeup artist who stands out in their own specialty! Modest Medusa is inclusive and LGBTQ+ friendly, providing hairstyling services to everyone!

Best Ever Hair Stylist!
Michelle is the best! Her communication is quick, helpful, and amazing. She was a peaceful, calming presence who kept me feeling relaxed and stress-free as the bride. On the wedding day, she did beautiful, intricate hairstyles for the entire bridal party that held up perfectly throughout the event. The quality of her work and value were truly worth it, and she helped make our special day go so smoothly. I would highly recommend Michelle to any couple looking for a talented, professional hair stylist who will contribute positively to your wedding experience!

Michelle is truly incredible! She never fails to make my hair look gorgeous, and every appointment feels like a mix of therapy, dog talk, and nonstop laughter. I always feel completely at ease in her chair. My wedding hair was absolutely perfect, she brought my Pinterest inspo to life and made me feel stunning. But what meant even more was how she went above and beyond that day, dropping everything without hesitation to be by my side when I truly needed her.
