I never meant to be a wedding photographer - but somehow, here I am. I started my career as a newspaper reporter, and left that to be a writer and photographer for a public university. Almost 10 years into my second career, I was laid off - so I turned some pretty sour lemons into Lemonade Photography. I'm a lifelong Northwesterner, a mom to two boys, a nature lover, a proud geek and quite possibly the biggest Harry Potter fan you'll ever meet (don't challenge me to a Potter trivia contest; you WILL lose). I love to laugh, and I love to make my clients laugh along with me.

    So incredibly talented, kind, and creative

    Jill at Lemonade Photography is so incredibly good at what she does! Her love for what she does and her talent and hard work all shine through. Our wedding photos are simply beautiful. Really, just stunning. She captures expressions, feelings, beauty, light, scenery, human interaction, everything so beautifully. She sets shots up well and also captures spontaneous moments and movement. We got married in a wooded setting with very tall trees and her gorgeous photos captured everything about the setting while making the photos about the people. She’s kind and real and fun to work with. We just really lucked out with her and couldn’t have asked for anyone better. She’s also worked in many of the Kitsap venues and knew our spot well, so her experience was helpful along with her expertise.

Typically, couples book me about 9 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
I shoot most weddings solo, but I have a second photographer available for an additional fee if you feel you need one at your wedding.
I take thousands of photos at every wedding and select only the best ones to edit and deliver to you. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos in an online gallery about 8 weeks after your wedding.
You can expect at least 50 images per hour of shooting (and I usually deliver much more). But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
In my 12 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to shoot your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
