Beauty by Pace

I chose Pace for my wedding hair and makeup because of her natural aesthetic and reasonable pricing compared to other San Francisco artists. I highly recommend booking her for the entire day (10 hour package) if it's within your budget! I wanted this because SF is so windy and temperature can be so unpredictable. She and her assistant, Anna, styled me and three members of my bridal party in just 3 to 3.5 hours for hair and makeup for all. They arrived right on time, were flexible setting up at our unique Airbnb, and made everyone look phenomenal. During our trial, Pace patiently worked through two different updo styles as well as my makeup. I felt that something was not 100% with my final trial look by the end of the 3 hours, though. After the trial, I did more research and sent Pace my personal color analysis, and she adapted to it seamlessly. I was nervous changing things up without another trial, but I didn't want to do another trial. My wedding day look turned out quite different from the trial, but I loved it SO much. It was perfect. I am so grateful for Pace's flexibility with me and artistry--though looking back, I should have done more research before the trial! Because I booked her for full-day coverage, we also planned a hairstyle change. Even though we hadn't practiced that hair style (our 3 hour trial time wasn't able to fit it), she transitioned my hair from a full updo to a stunning half-up, half-down style in just 20 minutes on the day of the wedding. Pace stayed by my side the entire day (from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM), ensuring my hair was always perfect for photos. She fluffed and straightened my dress right before I walked down the aisle, touched up my makeup, and even gave my husband a quick touch-up before the ceremony. She traveled with us everywhere, including driving out to our airbnb, first-look location, and venue. If you are wondering about longevity of the look: our after-party went until 4:00 AM, and my makeup and lashes did not budge. While my curls naturally softened from hours of dancing and jumping, my face remained completely flawless! Thank you so much, Pace!

Pace and her associate, Anna, were extremely great to work with. Pace was communicative, efficient, and stuck to the day-of schedule with time to spare. Everyone's looks turned out beautiful, and she could even make very thick hair stay up for 10+ hours. Definitely would recommend!

Pace did absolutely amazing work as my wedding makeup and hair stylist. She was patient, experienced, and responsive, and despite my lack of experience with makeup or hair styling, she made me feel instantly comfortable and relaxed. I wanted a very natural, minimalist look, and Pace answered all of my questions and let me set the pace at my trial, starting with a light touch and letting me decide whether to add more. I'm self-conscious about my freckles, and she managed to hide them all while keeping a clean, fresh-faced look. On the day of the wedding, she and her team were punctual, organized, and prepared. I was quite anxious and overstimulated by that point, and I was so grateful to have Pace's incredibly soothing and calm presence by my side the entire day. She made me look and feel beautiful (even helping to cover a last-minute eczema flare-up on my back), and most importantly, she made me feel cared for and supported on what was a very happy, but also overwhelming, day. I highly recommend her - she's truly phenomenal. (Also, side note: she has experience with traditional Chinese hairstyles as well, which was very useful, as we did both a Chinese tea ceremony and a Western style ceremony.)

Pace and her assistant made me, my bridesmaids and my mom look so beautiful during my wedding day! She is very patient and listens to any kind of changes or services you want done with your makeup. Her energy is very calming and she is attentive to what you want. I highly recommend her!!
