15k Florals, but Lack of Follow-Through and Care
My bouquet was absolutely perfect — truly stunning — and I appreciated the quick thinking to adapt our partial rain plan when weather became a factor. However, what was delivered overall didn’t reflect the vision we spent months carefully planning and paying for. We invested over 15,000 and collaborated through multiple rounds of design boards, detailed feedback, and revisions. The final Canva project, which incorporated extensive notes and was sent just a week before the wedding, wasn’t followed as promised. We discussed flower availability as one of the barriers to prepare for, and the entire point of having multiple design options and alternative flower lists was to prevent last-minute issues. The florist had prior experience at our venue and was aware of common barriers she’s mentioned on her own TikTok, including Texas weather, catering logistics, and 1 p.m. access times. She already had or could have asked for vendor contact information to coordinate directly and plan ahead, rather than improvising the day of and delivering designs that not only didn’t match what we finalized, but looked poorly executed. I hate to use judgments like “horrible,” yet the arrangements — especially the fountain — looked rushed, uneven, and some flowers even appeared worn out. The explanation that certain florals weren’t available didn’t make sense. The welcome sign design we finalized after multiple revisions could have easily been done, as those same flowers were used in other arrangements that day. This showed it wasn’t about availability, but follow-through. A week before the wedding, she also posted on Instagram seeking an “experienced designer for medium/large installs” for my wedding day, which raised concerns about preparedness. Later, I learned her team was shown additional reference photos — in addition to the approved designs — that I had never seen or approved, creating a completely different look. The fountain appeared unfinished, and the wedding sign florals looked improvised rather than cohesive with the aesthetic we finalized. When I followed up after the wedding, the explanations felt like avoidable excuses — weather, timing, logistics, and flower availability — all things we had already planned for through our backup design process. When I asked further, the reasoning came down to contract language, the same contract we worked so hard to move beyond through months of collaboration. Additionally, my husband’s boutonnière stained my dress immediately after our first dance, even though it was pinned correctly by our coordinator. A simple heads-up to use a less pigment-heavy flower could have prevented that. While the florist later acknowledged my feedback and said she would review her process, the response felt polite but hollow. After such a significant financial and emotional investment, it was deeply disappointing to feel that the collaboration, trust, and preparation we built were disregarded. If you’re investing 10,000–15,000 in florals, I’d recommend choosing a vendor who plans proactively, communicates transparently, and takes accountability when things don’t go as promised — not one who relies on artistic interpretation or fine print when the final product falls short.
1000% recommend
We had an amazing experience working with Nice Stems Design for our wedding flowers. Samantha, the owner, was incredibly thoughtful, patient and communicative throughout the entire planning process. She took the time to understand our vision and worked within our budget to create truly original, creative and sculptural floral designs that were the talk of our wedding. Samantha took our ideas and turned them into a memorable, unique floral art that perfectly complemented the style of our event. If you're looking for a florist who will bring your vision to life in an artful and fun way, Samantha at Nice Stems Design is the perfect choice.

Sam is such a gem. I trusted her with my vision and she exceeded my expectations. Couldn’t recommend her enough!
