Flowers by Shira offers intentionally designed florals for weddings, events, and life’s little moments, always using local flowers grown in the Pittsburgh area. My wedding services are a la carte. You order what you need, choose from one of the color palettes, and leave the rest to me. I got started with floral design for my own wedding. I kept going because I just couldn’t be without flowers. As an art school grad and database admin, I use color theory and spreadsheets to bring the beautiful details of your events to life without the headache for you. I can’t wait to work with you!

I am a sustainable florist, and I always work with local growers. That means I’m able to choose flowers for their freshness or fragrance, not how far they can be shipped. I’ll use that fairy-like flower and its blue-tinted foliage you can only get in the spring or that flowering bush you grew up seeing in your grandma’s yard. Feel good about the flowers on your special day! Not only will your flowers be gorgeous, they are supporting local small businesses and protecting the planet.
