I hired Julie to do the flowers and wedding planning for our event in December 2024. When I first spoke to her she sounded very convincing and like an honest business owner. When she send the contract, she was requesting a high deposit for a wedding 9 month away, my fiancé negotiated it down to 2,500 which we paid. I asked her to come to our venue for the food tasting which we had to pay for per person, when she showed up, she was late and showed up with her teenage son and said she was not feeling well which was not a very good impression. After meeting her there, I gave her a list of things to do which I have not seen to this day. A few weeks ago I got a Zelle notification requesting money from Julie, which my bank flagged as a possible fraudulent transaction, thank God for that, when I contacted her she said she wanted another payment of 1,500. so before I paid, I asked her if we could speak to go over things, that's the last Ive heard from her. I'm glad I'm finding out about it now, 5 month before the wedding, but she will be hearing from our attorney to get a full refund.

Hi Allison! Unfortunately Zola doesn’t allow me to include screenshots, as I did in my direct email to you, but for the sake of transparency and honesty, there are a few things that should be clarified in your review: 1. You asked us to reserve a holiday weekend date (12/21) for your wedding for a full floral build out and full service planning. The deposit for this would have been $1500 for floral, $2000 for planning services, per your proposal and the client agreements that were forwarded to you for signature, given the size of your order. To date, 3 months later, you’ve refused to sign the planning agreement, despite repeated reminders sent via DocuSign. 2. You did not negotiate for a reduced deposit - you asked to split the deposit over 2 payments. One was due on signing of the agreement for floral ($1500) and $500 toward the planning deposit, which secured my services driving 2.5 hours each way to your venue for the site visit, completing a site tour, and finalizing a timeline for your event on site. The balance of the deposit, which was due for work to begin, per the contract, was due 06/21. We never received this payment, despite extensive work requests to be detailed below. 3. You were made aware prior to confirming our agreement that, on the date you had previously scheduled for the site tour, I would have my son with me, and there was no issue with that happening at the time. On site, on the date, I simply asked not to shake hands because I had been ill, but there was no other reference to my “feeling bad” - I was simply being considerate and trying not to spread germs. And my son didn’t interfere with, nor shorten, your visit. He quietly played on his phone in the room while we discussed your event in detail for approximately 2 - 2.5 hours. 3. Despite our agreement (which you have refused to sign) stating that a full deposit and signed agreement be completed prior to work starting, we not only completed the site visit, sent a full round of decor and floral mood boards, finalized linens, place settings, venue layout, completed a draft timeline in correlation with your photographer, and introduced, facilitated, and negotiated packages for you with a photographer and baker. In all, you received quite a substantial amount of work for a half deposit paid. And in 8 years of business, I’ve never had another payment flagged as “suspicious” - but regardless, the signed floral contract payment schedule was ignored and work was stopped when your deposit balance was nearly a month late, with the excuse that work was crazy and you were going on vacation,

Please save yourself from getting scammed out of thousands of dollars! We made the mistake of booking Events by Paradise to do the florals and Day of Coordination for our wedding in May 2024. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. When it came to the florals, they arrived 90 minutes late, significantly affecting our day of timeline, we were missing pieces, and ALL of the boutonnières and bridesmaids bouquets wilted in the first hour. Not only were they sloppy, but they were NOTHING what we asked for. Unfortunately, the florals were the least of our worries, as Julie, the owner and coordinator assigned to our wedding, did not show up to our rehearsal to help practice, despite confirming to both myself and my venue manager that she would be there. She was always 10 minutes late to every planning call we had- one time she said it was because she “got caught up watching the news” on the day of the wedding, she did not show up. There was zero communication to myself, the bride, regarding anything to do with the wedding or flowers. She told my venue manager that she was sick and sent a “back up” that sat in the office on her phone the entire wedding and spoke to me maybe a combined total of 60 seconds the whole day. I do not feel like I got a single penny of my moneys worth and I HIGHLY recommend using any other vendor in the Sarasota/ south Florida area. This company is a scam and should be ashamed of themselves.

I absolutely loved my bouquet and reception florals. I gave only a little guidance/inspo and Julie created the perfect bouquet. There was high wind at our reception so Julie had to last minute change the design, and it still turned out perfect. Julie also chose the most beautiful flowers for mine and my bridesmaids hair. I loved everything!

I cannot say enough about Julie and her teams support to bring our vision to reality. Our special weekend completely exceeded our dreams. We loved everything she did and her added touch with the whole event including the flowers was absolutely incredible!
