Your first dance is one of the few spotlight moments of your wedding night. Our goal at TWRL Dance is to make you feel your best in the moment that is captured the most! TWRL Dance LLC is a Chicago-based wedding dance service offering simple, easy lessons that make couples look and feel confident for the spotlight dancing moments of their wedding day. We offer 45-minute private lessons designed to make you look and feel confident when dancing in front of your family and friends on your wedding day, without the stress of memorizing custom choreography or nailing perfect technique.

How TWRL Dance Lessons Work: 1) Filler Moves: You’ll first practice “filler moves”. These are the basic steps that help you stay on beat with your song, get great pictures, and be present during this special moment. 2) Statement Moves: You will then learn 3-4 “statement moves”. These are the twists, turns and dips that get your crowd going. 3) The Result: You mix & match the above and you have a wedding dance that is low stress, looks amazing, and most importantly allows you to enjoy the moment.

    Couldn’t Recommend Catie More!

    Working with Catie changed the game for our first dance!! She made the process so smooth and easy for us to learn moves we felt totally confident doing. These moves gave us direction in practicing and made us feel like we knew what we were doing on our wedding day. She even choreographed a "break it down" section for my dad and I during the father dance that was approachable yet totally got the crowd going. Catie is truly the best, and we would recommend her to anyone planning a wedding! She made such a fun part of our wedding even more special.

    Perfect for

    Catie is the BEST wedding dance teacher for any skill level!! She came prepared with a few key moves that fit our song perfectly and showed us how to use them naturally throughout the dance. As two non-dancers, she made us feel comfortable, calm, and confident without overcomplicating things or making us feel like we had to memorize an entire routine. We were able to actually enjoy the moment, have fun, and feel confident on our big day! Catie was truly one of our favorite wedding vendors, and we couldn’t recommend her more!!

    Absolute Game Changer!

    Catie has such an amazing approach to teaching dance and made us comfortable from the very first moment of her lesson! Not only did she give us technical dance help but she made us feel more confident for the big day. I couldn’t recommend TWRL dance enough for every couple getting married, a true game changer!

    One Lesson Made Such a Difference

    I was honestly so nervous going into our wedding dance lesson because I am not a good dancer at all but Catie made me feel so comfortable and made everything seem so easy! She was very patient with us and somehow made me feel way more confident after just one hour. I left feeling excited instead of nervous about our first dance, which I definitely didn’t expect! Couldn’t recommend Catie enough!!

    The perfect wedding dance experience!

    Catie was absolutely amazing to work with for our wedding! She choreographed both the father daughter dance and first dance with my husband, and made the entire experience fun and relaxing. She was incredibly patient, organized and encouraging throughout the entire process. Catie made us feel comfortable, kept things light, fun and broke everything down in a way that was easy to learn! I’m so grateful to Catie for helping make such a special part of our wedding day so memorable. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a talented, patient and fun choreographer!

TWRL Dance lessons are taught from a rental studio in the North Center neighborhood of Chicago near the Irving Park Brown Line stop. (details provided at booking)
Yes! We teach parent dances such as father / daughter and mother / son dances.
TWRL Dance lessons are designed to be simple and efficient, so you will get everything you need in only one session! Because of this, we strongly advise only booking one lesson. However, if after your lesson you prefer to have more time with an instructor, you can schedule another.
Unfortunately, at this time we do not provide virtual lessons or lessons outside of Chicago.
