We have a passion for local sourcing and creating custom menus to fit your needs, as well as highlighting North Carolina’s fine produce and ingredients. We take great pride in our scratch cooking and local sourcing. We provide 5 star food and service for every event, large or small.
We are a zero waste cater with a farm-to-table style and 5-star hospitality service. Our entire team is professionally trained and work together to bring a seamless. We have great respect for the ingredients we use and the farmers that produce them. We want to serve the highest quality catering food around, so we cook onsite at your event as close to serving as possible to ensure your guests enjoy their meal, hot and fresh!

Fantastic Option for the Triangle (NC)
For our wedding, we put a big emphasis on having great food both we and our guests would enjoy. Under The Oak absolutely delivered on that expectation. We love how all their ingredients are locally-sourced while still offering a great variety on their menu. It was super local to our venue and their staff helped everything go very smoothly with appetizers during cocktail hour, a big dinner and late night nachos! We also really enjoyed the tasting at the restaurant while we were in the planning process to finalize our menu...it was both efficient, fun and informative! A very good local business with great catering.
Delicious food!
Under the Oak provided exceptional service and truly delicious food on our wedding day. In my experience, wedding food can often be forgettable, but that was absolutely not the case here — everything we had was outstanding! Our guests are still raving about the hors d'oeuvres served during cocktail hour and the entrees we selected for dinner. During our tasting, we experienced a small mix-up, but Laura’s incredible customer service more than made up for it. She went above and beyond to ensure we were completely taken care of and received the correct dishes. Her professionalism and kindness left a lasting impression on us. On the wedding day, the entire staff was exceptional. Service ran seamlessly, every guest was served promptly, and the team’s attention to detail did not go unnoticed. My husband and I were especially grateful to find a plate of hors d'oeuvres waiting at our reception table — and even more touched that a server made sure we got to enjoy food during cocktail hour after photos. That level of care and thoughtfulness truly stood out. I wholeheartedly recommend Under the Oak to anyone seeking catering services. Their food, service, and commitment to excellence made our wedding experience unforgettable.
Avoid
Under the Oak's food looked nothing like the pictures we were sent in our quote and when we placed out order. There was no presentation, food was incredibly small, and they were an hour late in arriving to my venue and then were unable to work the oven and therefore dinner was an hour delayed when served to my guests. The food was not cooked, looked terrible, and so small. I would highly advise to avoid Under the Oak.
Beyond Pleased!
Even before we were engaged, one of our main priorities for our wedding was having good food. After tasting a few caterers in the area, we were absolutely sold on Under The Oak Catering. The level of attentive service from the very first email outreach to the swift and careful service on our big day made every penny spent worth it! Our guests are still raving about how good the food was months later! We also had our bar serviced through UTOC and they blew us away by the way they accommodated each and every ask we had. Could not recommend Lara and her team more! You will not be disappointed!
