Ripen Company

Welcome! Ripen Company was founded in 2018 by chef Sophie Speer. Our motto is "gather with the best" - We produce seasonal, locally sourced gathering boards and tablescapes with local and seasonal cheeses, cured meats, and everything else that looks good. We are not a full-service caterer - we only do appetizers! Whether you'd like a bountiful "grazing table" (we prefer the term gathering table!) for your wedding day itself or would like to order a few smaller boards for a bachelorette, welcome dinner, or just to snack on while getting dressed - we're here for you with the best stuff California has to offer!

We only do one thing, which makes us really good at it! Working with us, you can feel confident that the food you serve will reflect your values. We curate ingredients from small local farms, creameries, and makers. Our spreads are a "gathering" of all the best stuff (just like your wedding!) - a curated collection of things we love, from local pickles to funky cheese and the first berries of summer. We hope you enjoy them in joyous company.
