It’s all about the memories.” — Buddy Valastro Established in 2016, KMB Confections is a home-based, boutique bakery located in Ada, Michigan. Owner Kelli Basher will work with you to design a beautiful, delicious work of art that will be the centerpiece of your event. With over 20 years of decorating experience, you can trust us to create the cake of your dreams!

We limit the number of orders we take in a week so you can be assured that we give it the time and attention it deserves. All cakes are made to order, baked, decorated, and delivered fresh for your special day! We have a variety of standard flavors available, and we can accommodate unique requests. In addition to cakes, we also offer customized cookies, candy coated chocolates, Jordan Almonds, and marshmallows to share another sweet treat with your guests.

    World’s Greatest Baker!

    We loved this cake for our wedding day! Kelli was so kind throughout the planning process, and she totally got our vision and brought it to life. Everything was beautiful, and people gave several compliments to the way the cupcakes were decorated. The cake was delicious and I have been talking about it to anyone who will listen since we had our tasting. I would recommend this a thousand times over! THANK YOU!

    KMB Confections LLC provided excellent service for our wedding day. Their communication was always on time, easy to understand, and pleasant. The quality of their work was good - the cupcakes and cake they made for us were both tasty and visually appealing. We were very happy with how the desserts complemented the overall look and feel of our special day.

    Kelli was amazing!! She took our vision and made it reality! We even had our wedding on a day that didn't work perfectly with her schedule, but she still made it happen and for that we are so grateful! To say we were obsessed with the cake is an understatement! We thought about our cake flavors from the tasting to the wedding day, and still think about it a little each day! She makes delicious cake and her cinnamon flavor is beyond delicious! Everything looked so beautiful and our guests loved their mini cupcakes! We definitely recommend and would give her 10 stars if we could!

    Best Cake Ever!

    Kelli / KMB Confections engineered the absolutely perfect wedding cake for us and our event. She was attentive to our questions, vision and tastes and ultimately made the most beautiful design to match our event and venue. Inside was an elevated funfetti cake because that is what my husband HAD to have. Everyone commented on how it was a delight to cut in and see the funfetti and the taste was divine. I would absolutely recommend hiring KMB to design the cake of your dreams!

I can bake gluten free, dairy free, and egg free items. While I have had numerous happy clients who are celiac or have other food based allergies, if you are extremely sensitive to cross contaimination, I would not be the baker for you. I carefully re-wash, by hand, all items that are used in the creation of the dessert, but cannot guarantee that there are not trace amounts of an allergens' presence. I take the health and well-being of my clients seriously and do my best to insure that those needs are met.
KMB Confections, LLC is a home-based business that is not licensed or inspected by the Michigan Department of Agriculture. We have operated under the Michigan Cottage Food Law since 2016. Check with your venue to make sure they do not have a restriction on home-based businesses.
Delivery and setup is included up to 5 miles from our location in Ada. For farther distances, the delivery costs are as follows: Up to 15 miles - $55.00; 16 to 25 miles - starting at $65.00; 26 to 50 miles - starting at $95.00; 51 to 75 miles - starting at $155.00; 76 - 100 miles - starting at $205.00; 100+ miles - starting at $260.00
No. Tasting appointments are $35.00 for up to 4 people. They are approximately an hour in length. I offer 4 cake flavors during a tasting - Vanilla Bean, White Almond, Chocolate, and a flavor of your choice off of my menu. Please contact us to schedule your tasting.
No. KMB Confections operates as a home-based business under the Michigan Cottage Food Law. Appointments need to be made for tastings and product pick-ups.
