As a boutique bakery, your wedding is my top priority. Everything I make is from scratch and I customize every element to you. I only schedule a few weddings every week to give your cake the personal attention and detail it deserves. You won't find large ovens, bulk ingredients and dozens of cakes leaving my kitchen on a weekly basis. I am an artist and feel like your cake should be a work of art. I pride myself on not only making beautiful wedding cakes, but cakes that also taste amazing.

I am a Food Network champion and veteran competitor. My vision is to create the cake of your dreams, not the other way around. Give me a challenge and I will rise to the occasion and create something (with your help) that will impress not only you, but also your guests.

    Gorgeous delicious cakes

    Designed By Daddy Custom Cakery was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. Their communication style was detailed yet easygoing, making the entire cake selection and design process a breeze. The quality of their work was absolutely stunning - the cake they created was a true focal piece for the day, with beautiful and intricate design execution. Both the gluten-free vanilla and traditional red velvet flavors were not only gorgeous, but delicious as well. We couldn't have been happier with the final result, and highly recommend Designed By Daddy Custom Cakery to any couple looking for an exceptional wedding cake experience.

No. For the Lansing area (up to 25 miles from Charlotte) the cost is a flat rate of $100. For delivery outside of the Lansing area, the delivery costs are as follows: - 26 - 60 miles away (Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Ann Arbor) - starting at $150 - 61 - 90 miles away (Saginaw, Bay City, Flint, metro Detroit) - starting at $200 - 90+ miles away (Clare, West Branch) - starting at $250 - Outside of Michigan, starting at $350
Wedding cakes are typically ordered around 8-10 months in advance. That allows ample time for consultation, tasting, and design. Early is always better as peak wedding season is April - September and dates book up quickly as I limit the number of orders per week to ensure you get the best work I can offer.
During our meeting, we will work together on a custom cake design that is just for you. Please bring anything you would like to use as inspiration or want incorporated into the overall design. Things to think about are your invitations, color swatches, bouquets, centerpieces, overall theme or even your wedding dress (but just a picture of it).
Many factors are involved in determining the cost of a custom cake from Designed by Daddy Custom Cakery. Every cake is made to order and priced individually. Cake pricing incorporates many variables including number of servings, complexity of design, fillings and flavors, number of tiers, delivery and set-up. The industry standard is to offer a starting price per serving for cakes. While my starting price is $10.00 per serving, that can be misleading and should only be used for comparing to other starting prices. Custom cakes are typically $13-25 per person and an average wedding cake is around $1,500.
