About Jay Fox Productions, LLc

Jeff Christenson

Owner/Operator

Jay Fox Productions is an Internationally Awarded Wedding DJ & Cert. Officiant. A member of a Wedding Hall Of Fame. I love bringing the emotional impact to every Wedding I am a part of. I have been referred to as a Conductor of the wedding reception. I work closely with all the vendors so we ebb and flow in unison. As in great movies, I see to it that everyone experiences every emotion throughout the evening. (like a planned moment of drama) Thus, they leave emotionally fulfilled. Unknowingly, they are positive they have been to the Best Wedding Ever! There is an absolute science to the evening's success. I know the formula.

I have been active in the music industry for years, previously working at ABC Radio Network and now at Westwood One Radio Network. I've been blessed with a powerful voice and even voiced the Winning Superbowl Radio Commercial in 2015. I have studied the psychology of how music affects people and can literally pack the dancefloor without saying a word. Very rarely do we not have an absolute Celebration. 5 star reviews prove that time & time, again.

This is our review from our wedding 4 years ago. We left this review on The Knot before he switched to Zola. At the time Zola wouldn’t allow us to leave a review since we need him to confirm we used him for our wedding, but we had already left him this negative review so I doubt he would’ve confirmed. However, my husband and I had a two year long engagement and we booked with Jeff almost the full two years out, we had everything paid off 6 months prior to the wedding. On 4/8/19 at 5:54pm Jeff sent an email that he deposited the final payment and we were "officially 100% paid". 3 months out from the wedding date on 8/12/19 I sent Jeff over our Reception Planning sheet that he provided fully filled out with notes of anything special. By 8/23/19 at 11:28am I had not received a reply so I resent it over and asked for confirmation that he received it. On 8/23/19 at 11:53am I received a reply staying that he thought he sent me a reception notice when he got it but that he did receive it and "all the music is in your playlist and ready to go!" On 10/16/19 (1 month before the wedding) he had email correspondences and a call with our coordinator in regards to time line and songs lists (which we have copies of.) He then emailed her on 10/16/19 at 4:30pm stating that we owed him an additional 400 and needed payment as soon as possible. We did move up the ceremony by 30 minutes but 400 is Jeffs price for 2 hours. She sent him the email she received from him in April stating that we were 100% payed off as well as any receipts/email confirmations from him. On 10/26/19 at 5:15pm we received another email from him apologizing and now stating that we owed him 900. We then forwarded him over the contract, his price sheet, and broke down the hours of the day, including again the break down of the payments and let him know that we can see where we would owe for an additional 1/2hr but nothing else. He apologized and admitted he was incorrect and told us not to worry about the additional 1/2hr as he was embarrassed. I stayed up that night fearing for our wedding night and apparently rightfully so. Our wedding day was completely magical despite the horrors that Jeff from Jay Fox Productions brought with him. He was completely unprepared and unprofessional. We hate knowing that we paid 3200 for a DJ who introduced our wedding party incorrectly and saying "Oh Whatever" on the mic after he screwed up, he did not have any of the songs ready and our coordinator had to give him a hot spot to download them. He had the audacity to come over to us during the reception RIGHT BEFORE the mother son dance and tell us he did not have the music for it and that he "did not know about it until just now," and “you need to select a new song”when we have email correspondences and proof that they were sent over 3 months before the wedding and again by our coordinator 1 month before the wedding. On top of this we heard from many guests that Jeff had an attitude with them while leaving the venue. We were also informed that he verbally attacked my coordinator and PURPOSEFULLY caused damage to the venue upon his exit. He originally responded to this review stating that he is diabetic and did not receive food at our wedding, but our wedding was buffet style food. I gave up my dream dress to put extra money towards our DJ because I believed in Jeff after our first meeting only to be severely displeased by him on our wedding day, please save your money and go with a better option.

We could not have picked a better DJ for our wedding! Throughout the whole wedding planning process, Jeff has been a constant support, inspiration, and never-ending source of excitement to keep me going. My family was not supportive of us doing a Renaissance themed wedding, but Jeff kept encouraging me. He’d go to meetings with other vendors if I needed him to, he’d help work what connections he could to help us achieve our dream wedding. Jeff became much more than “the DJ”, he became a friend. He wanted everything to be perfect for us and did everything he could to make it happen. The night before our wedding, when our officiant called us saying he had the flu and pneumonia, Jeff was able to jump in and help us out--he didn’t even hesitate when I asked. The whole night, nothing went according to plan (weather, late groomsmen, drunk bridesmaid, etc) Jeff was able to leave me walking away with a perfect night. I still have friends mistaking our wedding reception for a party and saying how much fun they had! You can’t go wrong choosing Jay Fox Productions—choosing Jeff! Thank your for everything you did for us!!!
